Liv Morgan’s return turned John Cena’s Intercontinental Championship defense into a trap. After seeming to embrace Cena, she struck him below the belt and hit him with the title, giving Dominik Mysterio the opening to win the championship at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29, 2025.
How Morgan’s return changed the match
Mysterio challenged Cena for the Intercontinental Championship. The Judgment Day came to ringside, but Cena initially stopped the group from interfering, according to WWE’s official match results.
Then Morgan returned. She first slapped Mysterio, then leapt into Cena’s arms, making it appear that she was siding with him. Instead, Morgan struck Cena below the belt. The embrace was misdirection: her attack left the champion vulnerable.
The title-changing finish
With Cena compromised, Mysterio hit a 619. Morgan then struck Cena in the face with the championship, and Mysterio followed with a Frog Splash to score the pinfall. He won his second Intercontinental Title.
