Júlia Mestre’s *Maravilhosamente Bem* is her third solo album, released in May 2025. Built around danceable disco and 1980s pop references, it turns a difficult personal period into a record about resilience, romance and connection. Mestre has said the album also brought her work as an actor and singer together in a way she had not achieved before.
What *Maravilhosamente Bem* is—and when it arrived
*Maravilhosamente Bem* (“Wonderfully Well”) is the third solo album by Brazilian singer-songwriter Júlia Mestre. It was released in May 2025, so it is not a new 2026 release. EBC Rádio MEC reports that the album has 11 tracks and was produced by Mestre. The broadcaster describes its musical references as drawing on the 1980s, including the influence of Rita Lee. EBC Rádio MEC
Gshow characterizes the songs as danceable disco-style ballads centered on romance and connection. POPline also describes the record as bringing together 1980s ballad references, poetry, pain and rebirth. Those descriptions place the album’s emotional themes alongside, rather than in opposition to, its dance-oriented sound. Gshow POPline
How acting and music came together
Mestre has described the album as a point where her work in music and acting finally met. In an August 2025 Gshow interview, she said that experience helped her understand how combining those parts of herself could produce a fuller, lighter artistic result. The album’s characters, colors and shifting versions of her persona were part of that creative approach. Gshow

Von funky Basslinien bis hin zu Atemabschnitten und ansteckenden Refrains bietet dieses Musterbuch einen Vorgeschmack auf die gesamte Vielfalt und Energie der 70er Jahre.
That account makes the album more than a change in musical style: it is also a convergence of two parts of Mestre’s working life. Rather than treating performance and songwriting as separate practices, she used the album to bring them into the same expressive frame.
Why “Sou Fera” became the starting point
“Sou Fera” was the first song Mestre wrote for the album. She said it emerged during a period when she was doing many shows while also facing serious personal difficulty. After going about a year without composing, she called collaborators and began writing again. The song’s image of a “loba” (she-wolf) and “fera” (beast) beneath the skin reflected the armor she felt she had to wear. Gshow

“Eu estava em um momento em que eu estava fazendo muito show, mas eu estava passando por um momento pessoal muito difícil. E aí fala exatamente assim ‘Por debaixo da pele sou loba, sou fera’, isso de estar mostrando uma armadura o tempo todo.”
In English, Mestre said she was performing frequently while going through a very difficult personal period, and connected the lyric about being a she-wolf and a beast beneath the skin to showing an armor all the time. The quoted words are hers; the translation here is explanatory rather than an official translation.

What the title means to Mestre
The title came later in the album’s creation. Mestre framed *Maravilhosamente Bem* as a celebration of having come through that difficult period and feeling stronger. She said the album itself lifted her up, which is why the phrase became its name. She also hoped the songs could lift listeners—to dance or fall in love. Gshow
“Porque o álbum me puxou para cima, me botou mais forte e é o nome do disco.”

What came after the album era
In March 2026, Universal Music Brasil announced “Afim de Verão” as a new phase after *Maravilhosamente Bem*. The label described it as the first composition Mestre wrote after the album era. Mestre said the single grew from an intensely romantic moment and a wish to present herself more intimately and with less armor. Compared with the album’s disco and 1980s references, Universal described the single in more contemporary indie-leaning terms; these are descriptions of different creative phases, not objective rankings. Universal Music Brasil
In a September 2026 interview with Amarello, Mestre said she had written some songs for an album she expected in 2027. That was her stated expectation at interview time, not a confirmed release schedule.
