A later account places that party in London in 2009, but that detail comes from secondary reporting, not the Vogue interview.
What Rosie Huntington-Whiteley said about meeting Jason Statham

Was the party in London in 2009?
E! News reported in a July 1, 2026 retrospective that the couple met at a London party in 2009. E! also attributed the phrase “It was instant chemistry” to a 2020 Instagram Story by Huntington-Whiteley. Those are more specific details than the ones she gave Vogue in 2018, and they should be understood as E!’s later account of her Story—not as details stated in the Vogue interview. Read E!’s retrospective.
Are Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley married?
The title’s use of “wife” is not established by the reviewed reporting. British Vogue reported on January 11, 2016, that the couple were engaged, with the engagement confirmed by Huntington-Whiteley’s spokesperson; the report said they had been dating for more than five years. Vogue referred to Statham as her “partner” in its February 8, 2022 report on the birth of their daughter. E!’s 2026 retrospective says they have not married. For precision, she is best described as his fiancée or longtime partner. British Vogue’s engagement report.
