The official listing for Absolute Batman #14 confirms that Batman and Catwoman face Bane in a final battle, but its synopsis does not say how Bane is defeated—or confirm his fate afterward. The exact answer requires the issue itself or a reliable, verified full recap.
Which issue contains the final battle with Bane?
The confrontation is in Absolute Batman #14. DC Universe Infinite’s official listing describes it as a final battle between Batman and Catwoman and Bane. The issue is 29 pages, was released November 26, 2025, and credits Scott Snyder as writer and Nick Dragotta for pencils and inks. See DC Universe Infinite’s listing for Absolute Batman #14.
What do the official previews establish?
The buildup
DC’s listing for #11 says the issue reveals Bane’s origin. Its listing for #13 promotes a “final showdown” between Batman and the monstrous Bane. These blurbs establish the buildup, but neither explains the decisive move in the later confrontation. DC’s listing for Absolute Batman #11 and DC’s listing for Absolute Batman #13.
Catwoman is part of the fight
The #14 synopsis names both Batman and Catwoman, so DC frames the confrontation as more than a solo Batman-versus-Bane fight. The listing does not describe Catwoman’s specific actions or explain how the team resolves the battle.

Does the official synopsis say how Bane is beaten?
No. It confirms the matchup, but does not identify a tactic, show the fight’s outcome, or state Bane’s immediate fate. Promotional language such as “final battle” signals the story’s framing; on its own, it is not proof of the precise ending.
A secondary recap surfaced online claims that Bane’s use of Venom overloads him. That claim is not corroborated by the official #14 synopsis, and the recap has not been independently verified here. It should not be treated as a confirmed explanation for Bane’s defeat.

Absolute Batman is an alternate take on the character, not a continuation that should be assumed to follow the familiar backstory. In a September 2024 interview, DC described this Bruce Wayne as an engineer from Crime Alley without the generational wealth usually associated with him, while Alfred is a former MI6 agent. The interview also said the first issue was planned for print and digital release on October 9, 2024. Read DC’s interview with Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta.
