Williams was the front person of the Plasmatics, a band known for aggressive punk and shock-rock performances. The Washington Post quoted Rod Swenson, Williams’s longtime companion and former manager, saying: “She felt she was past her peak and found it difficult to lead a normal life.” This is Swenson’s reported perspective, not proof of a single cause of her death.
