Cody and Paulie Calafiore are brothers, and Cody publicly described their family as close and supportive. During Paulie’s 2016 season of Big Brother, Cody said he was rooting for his older brother to win and called their family “very tight” and “family-oriented.” Those comments show how Cody characterized their bond then; they do not establish the brothers’ private relationship today.
Are Cody and Paulie Calafiore brothers?
Yes. Paulie is Cody’s older brother. Cody finished as runner-up on Big Brother season 16, and Paulie competed on season 18. Coverage of Paulie’s season presented Cody as a sibling adviser and supporter. TV Guide and Us Weekly identified their family connection.
What did Cody say about their relationship?
In a 2016 TV Guide interview during Paulie’s run on season 18, Cody said he wanted Paulie to reach the end and win. He explained that the prize would benefit their family, and said he would have helped Paulie and their sister financially had he won his own season.
“We’re very similar in that aspect, and I know he would do the same thing. If he wins the money, it’s beneficial for my family. We’re very tight, family-oriented. I’m rooting for him to get to the end and win.”

The $500,000 Cody mentioned referred to the prize associated with Paulie’s 2016 season, not a current offer. Read Cody’s comments in TV Guide.
What else suggests a supportive connection?
Us Weekly reported that Cody advised Paulie to avoid showmances while he was in the Big Brother house. Along with Cody’s comments about rooting for his brother, that advice fits the public picture of a supportive sibling relationship. It is still evidence of what Cody said and did during that period, rather than a measure of how close they are in private.

Filmmaker Candice T. Cain later described becoming close with both brothers and said they were a strong support system for her. That is her account of her relationship with them; it does not independently establish the closeness between Cody and Paulie. Parade
Does Paulie’s experience on the show change the answer?
Not on the evidence available here. Paulie’s season 18 exit interview included discussion of relationships outside the house, and TV Guide noted his limited optimism when host Julie Chen pressed him. That discussion concerned other relationships and tensions connected to the show; it is not evidence that he and Cody were estranged. TV Guide’s exit interview coverage

Likewise, Cody’s close friendship with fellow season 16 contestant Christine Brecht was a separate relationship and should not be confused with his bond with Paulie. TV Guide covered Cody’s season 16 interview.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What can be said about their closeness now?
The clearest direct evidence cited here is Cody’s 2016 public description of his family and his support for Paulie. The interviews establish how Cody spoke about their relationship at that time, but they do not confirm the brothers’ current private circumstances. The careful answer is that Cody described them as close in 2016; a stronger claim about their relationship today would require recent, direct evidence.
