House of Ninjas is a Netflix series about the Tawara family, whose members have left their shinobi lives behind—until a growing threat draws them back into covert work in modern Japan. It blends spy action with family drama, and it is an original story rather than an adaptation of a book.
What is House of Ninjas about?
The story follows the Tawaras, a family with a secret shinobi past. After stepping away from that life, they are pulled back into missions as danger grows in Japan. Is House of Ninjas based on a book?
No. Netflix describes it as an original series, based on a story by Kento Kaku, Yoshiaki Murao, and Takafumi Imai—not a book adaptation. Netflix Tudum credits the story to the three creators.
