#1 Best Overall
He described the nomination as meaningful recognition for his acting, saying it made the workload of his new career feel worthwhile. He also called Home and Away “the best job I’ve had.”
Why was the nomination a milestone for him?
In its 1 June 2022 report, PerthNow described Evans as Perth-raised and a WAAPA graduate, and noted that he had appeared on The Voice in 2020. His first appearance on Home and Away as Theo Poulos had been in September before the report was published. The article gave his age as 25 at that time; that is an age-at-publication detail, not a current age.
Was this the same nomination as Home and Away’s 2024 nod?
No. ABC’s 2024 Logies nominations report lists Tristan Gorey of Home and Away in the Graham Kennedy Award category. Gorey’s nomination was in a different year and was separate from Evans’s 2022 nomination.

PerthNow’s interview confirms Evans’s 2022 nomination and his response to it. It reported that the ceremony was scheduled for 19 July 2022 in Queensland, but that contemporaneous schedule is not evidence that it took place exactly as planned. The cited reports do not establish Evans’s category vote total or winner, or his current role status.
