Photographer Paweł Kadysz’s photo project The Daily Life of Darth Vader imagines the Sith Lord dealing with ordinary routines instead of galactic conflicts. Its humor comes from the contrast: Vader’s intimidating presence appears in scenes involving shopping, reading, brushing his teeth, cleaning and other household tasks.
What is The Daily Life of Darth Vader?
It is a humorous photo series by Paweł Kadysz that places Darth Vader in everyday situations. How was the series meant to work?
When Kadysz introduced the project in a post dated November 18, 2015, he called it ongoing and said he planned to publish one new photo each day until the premiere of Episode VII. That describes his original plan, not a verified final schedule or evidence that the project still updates. His creator-submitted post is available on Bored Panda.
How did Kadysz make the photos?
Kadysz said the images were selfies. He named an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark I camera, M.Zuiko lenses and a low-cost strobe as his equipment. Those details are his account of how he made the series, not an independently tested equipment recommendation.

How large was the project?
A Ministry of Counterculture retrospective published on August 24, 2016, reported that the series contained 61 photos and had received more than 420,000 views at that time. Those are historical figures from that retrospective, not current totals: Ministry of Counterculture’s retrospective.
Where can you find the photos?
Kadysz’s Bored Panda post and the 2016 retrospective point to TookAPic as a source or host for the work. The current completeness and accessibility of the original archive have not been established, so an old reference to the project should not be taken as confirmation that every image remains available there.
