Top 20 highest-paid Instagram accounts in the September 2026 ranking
The table reproduces Ainfluencer’s September 2026 selection, which attributes the estimated sponsored-post fees to Hopper HQ. Follower counts are the figures Ainfluencer says it checked in September 2026; they can change quickly. Ainfluencer also says four names from the published top 20 were replaced because their Instagram embeds were broken. This is that publisher’s list, not an audited export of Instagram data or brand contracts.

What “highest-paid” means in this list
The dollar amounts are estimates of a possible fee for one sponsored post—not evidence that a person received that amount for a specific campaign. Hopper HQ’s official Instagram Rich List labels its figure “Cost Per Post,” gives amounts in U.S. dollars and says its estimates draw on internal data, agency rates and public information. Its official page is labeled 2024; it lists Ronaldo at $3.432 million. The surfaced 2026 roundup uses a rounded Ronaldo estimate of $3.43 million, but the official Hopper page located for this ranking does not establish that its underlying rates or methodology were refreshed for 2026.
Accordingly, the ranking is useful as a published estimate of potential post pricing, not as a ledger of celebrity income. It does not show actual deal terms, how often each person posts sponsored content, how much they collect after other costs, or total income from Instagram.
How to read the follower counts and fee comparisons
The biggest audience does not automatically translate into the highest estimated fee per follower. In its analysis, Ainfluencer divided the listed estimated fees by the September 2026 follower counts. It reported that 15 of the 20 accounts fell between $6,224 and $6,402 per million followers, while five athletes fell between $4,981 and $5,631 per million followers. These are calculations based on the roundup’s estimates and audience figures—not observed market rates or evidence of individual brand transactions.
The table also mixes sports figures and entertainment celebrities, while the follower counts are snapshots rather than permanent totals. Treat both the rank and the audience numbers as time-bound to the publisher’s September 2026 roundup.

Why Forbes’ creator earnings ranking is different
Forbes’ 2026 Top Creators list measures a different thing. Forbes says it estimated each creator’s gross earnings between March 2025 and March 2026 across platforms; its methodology excludes equity in public and private companies and also considers follower and engagement metrics and an entrepreneurship score. That is a period-based, cross-platform earnings estimate, not the potential price of one sponsored Instagram post. The two lists should not be compared as if they ranked the same income measure.
