Goblin Works Garage is a Discovery motoring series about a trio of builders taking on distinctive car and motorcycle projects under the name Goblin Works. The programme presents that work as an attempt to revive a classic British engineering company; the available record supports that as the show’s premise, but does not independently establish the original company’s detailed history. Here’s what the series features, who leads it and what production reporting reveals.
What is Goblin Works Garage about?
Discovery UK describes the garage as named after a 1940s engineering team and presents engineer Jimmy deVille building bespoke vehicles. Apple TV describes the central idea as an effort to revive the classic British engineering company Goblin Works through car and motorcycle resto-mods. Those are programme descriptions, not independent documentation of the original company’s corporate history. Discovery UK · Apple TV
The “real story” is therefore best understood as the show’s television format: builders take on varied vehicles, combining restoration, fabrication, styling and performance ambitions. The episode descriptions establish the kinds of projects the programme features; they are not independent roadworthiness assessments or instructions for replicating a build.
Who are the builders?
Apple TV identifies Jimmy de Ville, Ant Partridge and Helen Stanley as the series’ central trio. Listings vary in how they spell Jimmy’s name: Discovery UK styles it “Jimmy deVille,” while Apple TV uses “Jimmy de Ville.”

What kinds of vehicles do they build?
The project list ranges well beyond one marque or a single restoration style. Discovery UK episode descriptions include the following examples:
- A race-tuned classic Mini and a BMW E30 wide-arch conversion.
- A lightened Porsche 944, a 1965 Ford Mustang and a Volvo 245 estate.
- A supercharged VW campervan and a Vauxhall Viva.
- An attempt to convert a Fiat 500 to electric power using Tesla batteries.
- A 1973 Ford Bronco, a Toyota Supra and a modern Beetle styled with a 1950s American roadster look.
- Motorcycle projects, alongside the car builds.
Apple TV’s season-one catalogue adds an Escort Mk2 rally build, an MGB speedster, a lowered Land Rover, a Ford Capri fitted with a 5-litre 2017 Mustang engine, a Chevy monster truck and a Datsun Z-car street racer. These titles help show the breadth of the format, but episode numbering and season labels differ between catalogues. Apple TV

What is known about the production?
A production report by trade publication Broadcast names Victoria Noble of Discovery and Rick Murray of Endemol Shine North as executive producers. It also describes a workshop set designed to look like a working garage rather than a conventional studio: the lighting included 35 independently switchable fluorescent lamps and tungsten filament bulbs used for effects. The report says an unplanned car repair added cost but resulted in a memorable scene. These details document choices in making the programme; they do not establish that the vehicle builds were staged. Broadcast

What the available record does not establish
- A detailed, independently verified corporate history of the original Goblin Works beyond the programme’s account of its name and revival premise.
- That every event shown happened exactly as edited for television.
- Current streaming or broadcast availability in every country. Listings and rights can vary by territory and change over time.
For the programme’s synopsis and listed episodes, Discovery UK is the broadcaster source; catalogue pages such as Apple TV and Sky provide additional programme descriptions, while TheTVDB is an episode-guide reference rather than broadcaster confirmation. Sky
