The special guest stars named by Disney include Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest and Jermaine Fowler. Disney’s list ends with “and more,” so it is not a complete episode-credit roll.
Who are the series regulars in Season 5?
- Steve Martin plays Charles-Haden Savage.
- Martin Short plays Oliver Putnam.
- Selena Gomez plays Mabel Mora.
- Michael Cyril Creighton is named as a series regular. The official Season 5 announcement does not specify his character in the text consulted.
The first three are the central trio at the heart of the Arconia mystery. Hulu’s Season 5 guide confirms their character names.

Which guest roles are confirmed?
Hulu’s guide confirms a few character connections, but does not provide a role-by-role assignment for the full guest cast.
- Meryl Streep plays Loretta. Hulu says she reprises the role.
- Téa Leoni plays Sofia Caccimelio. Hulu describes Sofia as a recurring character introduced at the end of Season 4.
- Renée Zellweger plays one of the billionaires the Arconia crew encounters; Hulu’s guide does not name her character there.
- Christoph Waltz is listed as a guest, but Hulu’s pre-release guide described his role as undisclosed at that time.
- Keegan-Michael Key is confirmed as an addition to the cast, without a character name in the guide.
The official sources cited here do not establish character assignments for Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Logan Lerman, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest or Jermaine Fowler. Naming a performer is not enough to reliably identify their character.

What is Season 5 about?
The mystery begins with the suspicious death of Lester, the Arconia’s beloved doorman. Charles, Oliver and Mabel do not accept that it was an accident, and their investigation draws them into secrets involving powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters and residents of the building. Disney’s August 13, 2025 announcement put it this way: “After their beloved doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe it was an accident.”
The case provides the link between the familiar leads and the season’s expanded guest cast: the investigation takes the trio into the worlds of people connected to the Arconia and its powerful interests.
