At launch, the brand described a 30 mL bottle priced at $8 while supplies lasted. Those were the original launch terms; current stock and pricing are unverified.
What was Will Levis No. 8, Parfum de Mayonnaise?
It was a novelty fragrance made as a collaboration between Hellmann’s and Levis, whose public association with mayonnaise helped anchor the campaign. Hellmann’s announcement, reproduced by Deli Business on Aug. 17, 2024, called it a limited-edition release and described a 30 mL bottle offered for $8 while supplies lasted.
That price and availability describe the 2024 launch, not a confirmed current offer. Hellmann’s current brand history discusses the 2024 football campaign starring Levis, while its U.S. product catalog and store locator do not surface the fragrance. That does not rule out resale, but no current authorized seller or Amazon listing is established here.
What was the fragrance supposed to smell like?
Hellmann’s described a mayonnaise accord with tart notes, musk, vanilla and coffee undertones. Contemporary coverage also mentioned parsley. These are the company’s and news reports’ descriptions, not the results of an independent wear test or sensory evaluation.

Levis joked in the announcement, “I’ve eaten mayo, drank mayo, and now I can smell like mayo.” The same release attributed to him a description of the fragrance as “a fragrance like no other” that embodied “the distinct scent of greatness.” Those lines were campaign copy, not objective evidence about how the scent performs.
Why did Hellmann’s make a mayonnaise fragrance?
The release tied Levis’s mayo-associated persona to Hellmann’s football-season marketing. Hellmann’s describes its 2024 fall effort as a football campaign starring the Titans quarterback. Contemporary coverage connected the fragrance idea to a viral joke about mayonnaise and coffee; CBS Sports reported that Levis later said he did not regularly put mayo in his coffee.

In its Aug. 13, 2024 coverage, CBS Sports quoted Levis saying, “It is what it says it is, it’s a mayonnaise-based fragrance, but we do promise that it smells great, it smells like greatness.” The remark captures the playful pitch, rather than establishing how the fragrance smells to other people.
