Its central loop is to style an avatar, present the look on a virtual runway, vote on other players’ outfits, and save favorite looks. The launch concept was built around self-expression—including playful, non-human avatars—not just conventional fashion.
What is Modelverse?
Modelverse is a Roblox experience centered on avatar fashion and runway events. Supersocial and Klum announced it on October 3, 2024, describing virtual gatherings inspired by events such as Klum’s Halloween party, award shows, and high-fashion occasions. Players dress their avatars and compete on a virtual catwalk, with judging by Klum and the Roblox community. The launch announcement presents it as a place for digital self-expression.
How does the fashion experience work?
Supersocial’s Modelverse experience page describes a cycle of choosing clothes, modeling a look, and engaging with other players’ outfits. The Roblox listing also describes outfit voting, saving looks, themed collections, and event updates.
- Style an avatar: Use Roblox catalog items to create a look. The launch concept also allowed players to use an established avatar or design a new one.
- Walk the runway: Present the outfit at a themed virtual event.
- Vote: Rate other players’ looks as part of the community judging.
- Save a favorite: The experience description refers to saving and purchasing outfits within Roblox; this concerns virtual outfits, not physical clothing.
Self-expression is broader than conventional fashion
Klum described the intended freedom of avatar choice: “When building this world, I wanted to make sure that the players get the chance to be unconfined- they can play as their established Roblox avatar, or design a new avatar that looks like themselves… or step out of the box and walk the runway as a hot dog, a worm or something else they create!”

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That flexibility makes the runway format less about reproducing a single standard of style and more about presenting a chosen digital identity. Winnie Burke, identified in the announcement as Roblox’s head of fashion and retail partnerships at the time, said the platform’s community values opportunities and spaces for self-expression.
What the launch figures do—and do not—show
Supersocial’s 2024 announcement said 56% of Gen Z Roblox users considered creating an avatar look more important than their physical style. It also cited 79.5 million daily active users for Roblox. Both figures are historical numbers reported in that launch announcement, not current measurements; they should not be read as a current survey result or present-day platform audience count.
