Hudson Williams plays Shane Hollander and Connor Storrie plays Ilya Rozanov, the rival major-league hockey stars whose secret relationship drives Heated Rivalry. The six-episode, one-hour Crave romantic drama premiered in November 2025 and adapts Rachel Reid’s Game Changers books. This guide separates the confirmed season-one characters from roles announced for season two.
Season-one cast and characters

| Ilya Rozanov | Connor Storrie | The other central player; his relationship with Shane drives the season-one story. |

Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov
Shane and Ilya begin as rival rookies. The official synopsis describes a secret fling that develops into a years-long relationship while hockey ambition, rivalry, denial and self-discovery complicate their lives. Their rivals-to-lovers arc is the central narrative of season one.
The supporting ensemble
Scott Hunter, Kip Grady, Yuna Hollander, David Hollander, Rose Landry and Svetlana are the additional named season-one roles in the official release. Beyond the family connection identified for Yuna and David, the announcement does not provide detailed biographies for these characters, so role descriptions should not be inferred from the casting list alone.

Returning actors without newly specified roles
Bell Media’s September 3 update also listed Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie among the returning cast, along with Robert Naylor, Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Edvin Ryding, François Arnaud, Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Robbie G.K., Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy, Kamilla Kowal, Emily Hampshire, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka, among others. That announcement did not assign a character to each of those names, so their season-two roles should not be guessed from the roll-up.

What the series is based on
Heated Rivalry is adapted from Rachel Reid’s six-book Game Changers series, published by Harlequin. Reid’s Heated Rivalry novel is the source novel most directly connected to the television adaptation; it is not a separate tie-in edition. Readers who want more of the fictional hockey world can use the wider Game Changers reading order, while checking the edition and availability of any specific book.
