The audio news is the distinctive part of the update. It gives listeners another way to encounter the character with the actor chosen to play her on screen, but it does not establish anything about how the television performance will sound or compare with other portrayals.

These are the new television castings, not a return of the original film performers. In particular, “Hermione herself” in this update means Stanton, the newly cast series Hermione—not Emma Watson.
