In a February 2024 interview reported by Dexerto, creator Vivienne Medrano said she did not know Season 2’s projected release date and offered only a rough production estimate. Season 2 later premiered on Prime Video on October 29, 2025, and its listing shows eight episodes.
What did “definitely shorter” mean?
Medrano was talking about how long viewers might have to wait for Season 2 after Season 1. The remark was not a promise that the new season would have fewer episodes, shorter episodes, or a specific release date. Dexerto published the comment on February 7, 2024, reporting on an interview with Medrano by ScreenRant. Dexerto’s report is the source for the quoted remarks.
In that report, Medrano said, “Definitely not as long. I’m a big advocate for letting things take the time they need.” She was responding to a question about the Season 2 wait; the phrase should be read in that context rather than as a claim about episode format.
What Medrano said about the release timing
Medrano did not announce a target date or say exactly how long production would take. As reproduced by Dexerto, she explained that Season 1 had taken “about one-and-a-half, two years” and said Season 2’s production might be similar because it was still in its early stages. She also characterized that kind of timeline as a normal wait for animation and said she thought the season would be worth it.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The 1.5-to-2-year figure was Medrano’s rough estimate of production time, as quoted in 2024—not a confirmed release window, a measured industry average, or a guarantee about the interval between season premieres. Her comment that the wait would be “not nearly as long” was an expectation at the time, not a dated schedule.
Season 2 has already premiered
The 2024 comment is now historical. Prime Video’s official Season 2 listing dates its first episode to October 29, 2025, and lists eight episodes. The listing establishes the episode count and premiere date; it does not provide a comparison of episode runtimes with Season 1. Prime Video’s catalog is regional, so availability may differ by location and can change.

That release context answers the central question more clearly than the earlier prediction: Season 2 did arrive, but the creator’s February 2024 remarks did not specify when it would. They were a qualified expectation during early production, not a release announcement.
Wait, episode count, and runtime are different things
- Interseason wait: the time viewers wait between seasons. This is what Medrano’s “definitely not as long” comment addressed.
- Episode count: Prime Video’s Season 2 listing shows eight episodes.
- Episode runtime: the cited listing does not establish whether Season 2 episodes are shorter or longer than Season 1 episodes.
A shorter wait does not imply a shorter season. The available information supports an eight-episode count, but not a season-wide runtime comparison.

How the later coverage fits
The Economic Times summarized the comment in an article published May 28, 2024, describing a shorter wait than the gap from pilot to series and mentioning a possible one-to-two-year timeframe. That was a secondary summary of the expectation, not a new release update. The later Prime Video listing supplies the actual premiere context. The Economic Times article should therefore be read as coverage of the earlier prediction, not as confirmation of a release date.
