In Vivienne Medrano’s account of Hazbin Hotel, a deal in Hell binds when the parties visibly shake on it. The creator has also said Season 3 will focus on family, including the Morningstars, and confirmed Lilith will appear. Those comments come through dated interview coverage; neither report gives the season a premiere date or explains Lilith’s role in detail.
How do deals work in Hazbin Hotel?
“The way deals work in my universe is you have to see them shake on it,” creator Vivienne Medrano said, as quoted in ComingSoon’s November 19, 2025 summary of her Collider interview. The handshake is the visible condition Medrano described for a deal to bind within the show’s fictional universe. It is a story rule, not a statement about real-world contracts.
ComingSoon’s summary reports the interview comments; the original Collider page was not independently accessible to the outlet reporting them.
What is Hazbin Hotel Season 3 about?
Medrano reportedly described Season 3 as centered on family. The coverage names the Morningstar family and parts of Angel’s found-family story and history as elements of that focus. The report does not establish specific episode plots or how those threads will unfold.

Lilith’s presence is confirmed, but her role is not
The same ComingSoon report says Medrano confirmed Lilith will be in Season 3. It does not specify how prominent she will be, what she will do, or how her story connects to the season’s family themes.
Sam Haft hints at a romantic tone and different music
In a November 30, 2025 interview with ComicBook.com, composer Sam Haft said Medrano had called Season 3 “in some ways, a very romantic season.” Haft also said, “I think Season 3 paints with tonal colors that are a little different than the sort of stakes that we’ve seen previously in the show.” These are tonal teases, not confirmation of a particular romance, pairing, or plot development. ComicBook.com’s interview attributes both remarks to Haft.

When will Hazbin Hotel Season 3 come out?
ComingSoon’s November 19, 2025 coverage said production was well underway and noted that animation takes time. It described a similar wait for Season 3 and a shorter wait for Season 4 because the two seasons were greenlit together. That is a relative expectation, not a release schedule: the report provides no firm premiere date.
