What did Harry Jowsey say about his diagnosis?
Jowsey, known for appearing on Too Hot to Handle, said a dermatologist found skin cancer during a recent skin check. He described a spot on his shoulder that had been there for about a year or two without his realizing it was cancerous. “I’ve had this on my shoulder for like a year or two and I had no idea,” he said, according to PerthNow’s April 28, 2024 report.
In the TikTok, as quoted by The Independent on April 27, 2024, he said: “There isn’t really an easy way to say this, but last week I went to a dermatologist to get me skin checked and they found some skin cancer on me.” He also reassured viewers, “I’m going to be all good, I’m going to be okay.”
What type of skin cancer did he have?
The April 2024 reports did not name the subtype. The Independent said Jowsey had not disclosed the cancer type or treatment details at that point, so the available reporting does not establish whether it was melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, or another type.

What treatment was reported?
PerthNow reported that surgery to remove the cancer was planned for the Tuesday after Jowsey’s April 26 video. That report described a planned procedure; it did not provide further details about the operation or treatment at the time.
What was reported about his health later?
An E! News report published May 14, 2024 later covered Jowsey’s reaction and lessons from the diagnosis. Its search-result summary says he announced in February 2025 that he was cancer-free after surgery and treatments. That later status is attributable to E! News’ summary; it should not be read as independently verified or as a current health update.
