Harley Cameron says two milestones made 2025 especially meaningful: winning AEW’s inaugural Women’s Tag Team Championship with Willow Nightingale as the Babes of Wrath, and taking part in the promotion’s first women’s Blood & Guts match. In an interview with Adam Barnard, published by The Sportster and syndicated by Yardbarker, Cameron described both the joy of a championship and the fear and physical toll of a demanding match.
Why the tag-team championship felt like a full-circle moment
Cameron and Willow Nightingale became the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions as the Babes of Wrath. Cameron told Barnard the victory felt “such a special” moment: “We both feel very honored, and we’ve been working really hard, and it’s a beautiful full circle moment.” She also described the partnership as one in which the two continue learning together.

The win was one of Cameron’s personal highlights of the year. The interview presents it not simply as a title achievement, but as the payoff to sustained work and a shared journey with Nightingale.
What Cameron said about the first women’s Blood & Guts match
Cameron also participated in AEW’s first women’s Blood & Guts match. She called the experience “equally as challenging and terrifying,” while adding, “What an amazing experience. What an honor to be in the first ever Women’s Blood & Guts.” She recalled that the participants were battered by the match. That is Cameron’s description of the experience, rather than an independently verified medical account.

The interview’s framing sets this milestone beside the title win: one was a shared championship accomplishment, the other a difficult and frightening first for the women involved.
Grand Slam Australia and the cost of pursuing wrestling
Cameron named her match against Mercedes Moné at Grand Slam Australia as another defining moment. Appearing in Australia carried personal weight because she had left her home country and family to pursue wrestling. She said that going home for the match made her feel that the sacrifices had paid off, even though she had set out without knowing what would happen.

The article places that match earlier in 2025, before the Babes of Wrath’s tournament victory for the inaugural tag titles and the women’s Blood & Guts match. Those milestones give the year its arc: a return home, a championship achievement, and participation in a first-of-its-kind match.
Her message to people facing self-doubt
Cameron spoke about doubts over her career and her decision not to quit. Her advice in the interview was direct: “if you work hard, and you don’t stop, you can achieve these dreams.” She said she was proud of not listening to her doubts and hoped her experience might encourage someone considering giving up: “Don’t quit.” That is her personal lesson from her own path, not a guarantee that effort alone produces a particular outcome.

What the interview said about the next title defense
At the time Barnard’s article was published, it previewed a Babes of Wrath title defense against Mercedes Moné and Athena at AEW Worlds End on December 27, 2025. The article also reported that AEW President Tony Khan wanted the women’s tag titles defended across multiple promotions; Cameron said she valued representing AEW internationally. These are publication-time statements and do not establish a current title status or ongoing policy.
The article’s original broadcast notice named HBO Max and Amazon Prime for Worlds End. Because the event date has passed, that historical notice does not confirm that a replay is currently available on either service.
