Happy’s Place brought former Taxi co-stars Christopher Lloyd and Carol Kane together in the Season 2 episode “Izzy and the Professor.” TV Insider’s December 16, 2025 preview said the episode was scheduled to air December 19, 2025, with Lloyd playing Clive and Kane playing his wife, Theresa.
How the reunion connects to Taxi
Lloyd and Kane are best known together from the sitcom Taxi. The Television Academy lists Lloyd as Reverend Jim Ignatowski from 1979 to 1983 and Kane as Simka Gravas from 1981 to 1983. The series began in September 1978 and ran for 111 episodes, according to the Academy’s program history.

The “47 years” framing comes from subtracting the calendar year Taxi began, 1978, from the year of the Happy’s Place episode, 2025. It is not an exact elapsed-time anniversary: the sources do not establish a precise interval between the Taxi premiere and the later episode’s filming or broadcast.
What happens in “Izzy and the Professor”
TV Insider’s episode preview describes a story in which Isabella is dating her professor, Lucas, while Bobbie is eager to meet him. In a parallel plot, Takoda finds a lost phone belonging to Clive. Clive returns to Happy’s Place to retrieve it, and Theresa is introduced as his wife.
