Gracie Piscopo’s return to Instagram was reported on February 2, 2023, after a two-month break. Her return post promoted Princess Polly clothing. At the time, reports linked the pause to the arrest and murder charge against her then-partner, Andre Rebelo. The charge was an allegation; the case later went to trial, and a jury found Rebelo guilty in December 2024.
Why did Gracie Piscopo return to social media?
PerthNow reported that Piscopo returned to Instagram on February 2, 2023, after a two-month absence, with a post promoting Princess Polly clothing. Its report placed her return in the context of Rebelo’s arrest and charge in November 2022 over his mother Colleen Rebelo’s death. That was the context reported at the time, not an explanation from Piscopo establishing why she had taken a break or what she knew about the case. PerthNow’s February 2023 report described the post and the charge-era circumstances.
What happened to Andre Rebelo after he was charged?
The case proceeded to trial. In December 2024, PerthNow reported that a jury found Rebelo guilty. That verdict changed the legal status of the case from a charge and allegation to a conviction. PerthNow’s December 2024 report also described a message Piscopo posted after the verdict.
What sentence did Rebelo receive?
ABC News reported that on April 1, 2025, the Supreme Court of Western Australia sentenced Rebelo to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 25 years. The minimum term is the period to be served before parole eligibility; it is not a fixed 25-year sentence. ABC News’ sentencing report gives the sentence and minimum term.

Did Andre Rebelo appeal his conviction?
ABC News reported on September 4, 2025, that Rebelo planned to appeal. The report said the defence intended to challenge the circumstantial case and argue that natural causes were an alternative explanation. Those were defence arguments, not findings by the court. ABC News’ report on the planned appeal records what was being argued at that stage.
Two secondary reports published in September 2026 said the appeal had been withdrawn shortly before its scheduled hearing. That update should be treated as media reporting rather than an officially confirmed court status: the reports do not substitute for a Court of Appeal docket or notice. A Reddit post and Pure Info News reported the withdrawal.
