No—the Golden Joystick Awards 2025 Ultimate Game of the Year vote is closed. The ballot ran from November 3 to November 7, 2025, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won at the ceremony on November 20. The old “voting is live” message is no longer a current call to action.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 received the 2025 Ultimate Game of the Year award at the November 20 ceremony, according to GamesRadar’s Golden Joystick Awards page and its ceremony recap.

The Ultimate Game of the Year ballot closed November 7, 2025, at 4 p.m. PST, 7 p.m. EST, or midnight GMT, according to TechRadar’s November 4 report; PC Gamer reported the same deadline. This was a historical deadline, not an open voting window.

Voters ranked their top three games on the ballot. GamesRadar describes a broader process in which industry nominations informed a shortlist selected by a panel of editors, contributors, and industry experts; the public then voted among those shortlisted entries. The public vote therefore determined the result from the final candidates rather than creating the shortlist.
How many votes did the awards receive?
GamesRadar reported that the 2025 awards received more than 21 million votes during October and early November across categories including Best Storytelling, Best Indie Game, and Most Wanted Game. That is the awards site’s reported total, not an independently audited count.
