There is no comparable official numeric reading for Goku in every Dragon Ball Z saga. The story gives a few figures around the Ginyu encounter on Namek; larger Frieza Saga numbers are attributed to a guidebook by a secondary source. For the Saiyan, Android/Cell, and Buu sagas, the available official retrospectives describe techniques, forms, and relative strength rather than a complete numeric series. Here is what can be stated, with each figure identified by its source and meaning.
What a “power level” number represents
Power levels in Dragon Ball are fictional readings or estimates, not real-world measurements. They are also not all the same kind of evidence: a scouter display, a character’s estimate, and a value later attributed to a guidebook should not be treated as interchangeable. Fan calculations may fill gaps, but they are not official readings.
Saiyan Saga: Kaio-ken, but no number in the cited retrospective
In its account of Goku’s battle with Vegeta, the Dragon Ball Official Site retrospective describes Goku using Kaio-ken, but it does not state a numeric power level for him. A precise figure for this saga therefore cannot be supplied from that source.
The same retrospective attributes this line to Goku in the Saiyan battle story: “If that’s how I got to Earth…I’m grateful. On this planet, we know that even the lowest-born can outdo the elite if they work hard enough.” The site says the quote placed first in its 2023 Goku quote poll; it is a character line, not a numeric measurement.

Namek and Frieza Saga: readings, an estimate, and guidebook-attributed values
The Ginyu encounter provides three distinct numbers in the official site’s account. They refer to different moments and should not be collapsed into a single reading.

Two much larger Frieza Saga figures circulate as guidebook values: 3,000,000 for Goku and 150,000,000 for Super Saiyan Goku. The Dragon Ball Wiki’s power-level compilation attributes both to Daizenshuu 7. These are secondary-source attributions: the primary guidebook page was not available in the cited material, so they should not be presented as numbers verified directly from the guidebook here.

Android and Cell Saga: forms and comparisons, not a sourced Goku number
The official retrospective of the Android/Cell material describes the conflict through transformations and relative strength, not a numeric Goku level. It characterizes Perfect Cell’s power as “unfathomably high,” without assigning Goku a number. It also recounts Goku’s Cell Games fight and his decision to leave the fight to Gohan.
That narrative context shows why a single power-level chart is a poor substitute for the saga’s progression: the story emphasizes changes in form and who can contend with whom. A fan chart may offer estimates, but it should be labeled as fan-made rather than official.

For the Cell Games story itself, Shueisha lists a full-color Cell arc volume 7 in paper and digital editions. Its catalog description says it covers chapters 398–408; it is a source for that portion of the manga, not a guide to Goku’s levels across every saga.
Buu Saga: no numeric Goku level in the cited account
The official retrospective of the Buu material covers Goku’s return, the tournament, Babidi, and the threat of Majin Buu, but gives no numeric Goku level. The account supports a narrative description of the saga, not a precise power-level entry. That absence in this source does not prove that no licensed publication has ever printed a number; it means a number cannot be established from the cited retrospective.

How to read “Goku’s power level in every saga” lists
- Story figure: identify whether it is a scouter display, a character’s estimate, or a level reached after a technique or transformation.
- Guidebook attribution: name the guidebook and whether the claim is verified from that publication or reported by a secondary compilation.
- Fan estimate: mark calculations and extrapolations as fan-made, especially where the story or cited official material supplies no number.
With those distinctions, the available evidence supports a small set of specific Namek/Frieza figures—not a complete, equally authoritative numeric progression through all four sagas.
