In an interview published by AARP on September 18, 2025, Close also described the experience as comfortable and liberating.
Why did Glenn Close suggest the nude scene?
“It was my idea,” Close told AARP. She explained: “I thought that’s something she would do when no one else is around. In Finland, they’re much more used to nakedness than we are.” That last point was Close’s explanation of her thinking, not a claim about every Finnish person.
