For the Brazil appearance, ET named guitarist Brent Woods, guitarist Zach Throne, and drummer Brian Tichy as Simmons’s bandmates. A later Mohegan Sun announcement dated January 13, 2025, also listed those musicians with Simmons for a separate May 11, 2025 performance at Mohegan Sun Arena; that later date is not the Summer Breeze show. Mohegan Sun’s announcement identifies that 2025 lineup.

How did the announcement follow KISS’s farewell?
KISS’s final live show took place at Madison Square Garden in December 2023. The Associated Press reported that the farewell tour was scheduled to end with back-to-back shows on December 1 and 2. Announcing the plan, KISS said: “Kiss was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago. It will be a privilege and honor to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started,” the AP reported.
The Gene Simmons Band announcement therefore marked a change in presentation after KISS’s final tour: Simmons said he would take the band on festival dates without his KISS makeup. The available announcement does not establish whether the Summer Breeze performance was recorded, streamed, or accompanied by event-specific merchandise.
