Gen V will not return for season 3: Prime Video canceled the series after two seasons. There is no season 3 release date or confirmed production plan. Producers say the characters’ stories will continue in The Boys season 5 and other projects in the shared universe.
Was Gen V canceled?
Yes. TVLine reported on April 24, 2026, that Prime Video canceled Gen V after two seasons. The cancellation means there is no season 3 currently planned, rather than a new season waiting for a premiere date. TVLine’s report quoted executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg saying: “While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the ‘Gen V’ characters’ stories in ‘The Boys’ Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again.”

Is there a Gen V season 3 release date?
No. There is no confirmed season 3 premiere date, production schedule, or season 3 cast. Any date presented as a confirmed release date would be speculation: the series was canceled, and no season 3 production plan has been established.
What happened to the reported season 3 story?
A May 20, 2026 report by ComingSoon described a season 3 story concept attributed to Kripke. In that outline, Stan Edgar would distance himself from superheroes, leaving the young Supes to face a changed world and decide whether to become heroes or villains. This was a reported idea for an unproduced season—not a greenlight, a finished script, or the plot of a season in production. Read ComingSoon’s report.

Will Marie and Jordan appear in The Boys season 5?
TVLine specifically reported that Marie Moreau and Jordan Li would appear in The Boys season 5. Kripke and Goldberg also said the wider Gen V cast’s stories would continue in that season and other projects in the shared universe, but their statement did not confirm which other characters or projects are involved. The season 2 finale left Marie and her friends on separate paths after the confrontation with Thomas Godolkin; some had joined Starlight’s Rebellion, giving the promised continuation a direct connection to the show’s ending.
What is Gen V about?
The spin-off follows young Supes studying and competing at Godolkin University, a college run by Vought. In season 2, the students returned as a new dean promoted greater power, while a secret program tied to the university’s founding carried wider consequences, according to Prime Video’s season 2 guide.
