What is Gen V Season 2 about?
The second season returns to Godolkin University as America adjusts to Homelander’s authoritarian rule. A mysterious new dean introduces a more powerful and dangerous curriculum, changing the university’s direction.
Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan are celebrated as heroes, while Marie Moreau, Jordan Li, and Emma Meyer return to college carrying the trauma and losses of Season 1. Their lives become entangled with a secret program connected to Godolkin University’s founding. The investigation expands into a conflict between humans and supes, with Marie placed unusually close to the center of the mystery.
The season also functions as a direct bridge to The Boys. Its revelations involve Vought, Godolkin’s origins, and a program whose consequences reach beyond the campus. Amazon has described the events of Gen V Season 2 as feeding directly into the final chapter of The Boys.
Gen V Season 2 cast
The principal returning cast is led by the young supes whose relationships and ideological divisions defined the first season.

| Actor | Character | Season 2 role |
|---|---|---|
| Jaz Sinclair | Marie Moreau | The season’s central investigative and emotional anchor |
| Lizze Broadway | Emma Meyer | Returns as part of Marie’s circle |
| Maddie Phillips | Cate Dunlap | Returns after her ideological split from the group |
| London Thor and Derek Luh | Jordan Li | Continue sharing Jordan’s female and male forms |
| Asa Germann | Sam Riordan | Returns as one of Godolkin’s most unstable young supes |
| Sean Patrick Thomas | Polarity | Promoted to a larger Season 2 role; he is Andre Anderson’s father |
New and crossover roles broaden the story beyond the original student group:
- Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher: the new dean responsible for Godolkin’s dangerous new direction.
- Ethan Slater as Thomas Godolkin: the university’s founder, appearing in a recurring role tied to the historical mystery.
- Erin Moriarty as Annie January/Starlight: trailer material shows Starlight recruiting Marie to investigate Project Odessa, a Vought research program.
- Chace Crawford as The Deep: returns as a special guest.
- Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir: included in the official crossover tease. The available casting information does not establish the size or episode count of the appearance.
Not every supporting character from Season 1 should be assumed to return. The confirmed Season 2 material identifies the principal cast above, while several crossover details were intentionally kept secret.
What happened to Andre Anderson?
Chance Perdomo died in March 2024 before Season 2 entered production. The producers decided that Andre Anderson would not be recast. They explained that no one could replace Perdomo and that the writers needed time to rework the season around his absence.
As a result, Season 2 is not a recast-and-continue story for Andre. It is a rewritten season built around the character’s absence and includes an explicit tribute to Perdomo’s legacy. Sean Patrick Thomas’s Polarity remains important to the story as Andre’s father, but he does not replace Andre as a character.

How Gen V Season 2 connects to The Boys
Gen V Season 2 is best understood as a franchise bridge rather than a separate campus adventure. The Godolkin mystery connects the university’s founding to Vought’s larger history, and the consequences continue into The Boys Season 5.
Amazon’s Season 5 cast information confirms that Gen V characters appear in the final season of The Boys. Marie, Jordan, and Emma are identified in the series finale as agreeing to help move Starlight’s people toward Canada. That is the clearest confirmed continuation after Gen V was canceled.
This does not mean that the entire Gen V ensemble has received a new spinoff order. It means that selected characters continue through the parent series and may remain available for future Vought-related projects.
Why was Gen V canceled?
Prime Video canceled Gen V after two seasons on April 24, 2026. Creator Eric Kripke and executive producer Evan Goldberg said they wished they could keep the Godolkin story going, but the planned characters’ continuation would instead be handled through The Boys Season 5 and other Vought Cinematic Universe projects.

The released season has its own storyline and finale, but some longer-term character and world-building plans will not be produced as a third Gen V season.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What was planned for Gen V Season 3?
There is no Season 3 in development. However, Kripke later discussed the broad idea the writers had considered for a third season.
In that abandoned concept, the students would have graduated into a harsh and unstable world. Institutions and companies would be failing, expected jobs would disappear, rent and financial pressure would become immediate problems, and the characters would have to decide how to behave when the future they were promised no longer existed.
That description is a creator-revealed concept, not a produced-season synopsis or an announcement of a replacement series. Kripke said he hoped to carry some of that energy into other projects, but no specific substitute show or release date has been confirmed.

Is Gen V Season 2 available on DVD or Blu-ray?
No physical home-video release for Gen V Season 2 is identified in the available information. The most relevant physical companion is The Boys Vol. 4: We Gotta Go Now, a Dynamite hardcover collecting issues 23–30.
The comic focuses on John Godolkin and the G-Men, making it a useful source-material companion for viewers interested in the Godolkin side of the television universe. It is not a home-video edition of Gen V Season 2, and readers should keep that distinction clear when recommending it.
What to watch after Gen V Season 2
For the most direct continuation, watch The Boys Season 5, where Marie, Jordan, and Emma reappear. For additional Godolkin-related source material, read The Boys Vol. 4: We Gotta Go Now. Other Vought Cinematic Universe projects may expand the setting, but none should be treated as a confirmed replacement for Gen V Season 3.
