Gemmy Quelliz ganó el reto fotográfico especial de People en Español en Miss Universe Latina, el reality, al recrear a Chiquis. Los jueces Aracely Arámbula, David Salomón y Fabián Ríos eligieron su imagen por unanimidad, según el anuncio y el video oficial publicados el 8 de julio de 2025.
En qué consistió el reto fotográfico
Kika Rocha, directora de moda y belleza de People en Español, visitó la mansión del reality para dirigir una sesión inspirada en la edición editorial «50 Más Bellos». El equipo editorial seleccionó a cuatro concursantes por sus rasgos y asignó a cada una una celebridad para recrear. La prueba requería reproducir su pose, vestuario, maquillaje y actitud.

Cómo se creó la foto ganadora
Gemmy posó ante el fotógrafo Hernán Puentes. La imagen de referencia de Chiquis había sido fotografiada por Francis Bertrand. Para completar la recreación, el equipo de estilismo incorporó una corona celestial, vestuario, extensiones largas y maquillaje luminoso en tonos tierra y melocotón. Los tres jueces escogieron la foto de Quelliz por unanimidad.

People en Español la describió como modelo y actriz dominicana, madre y participante de Miss República Dominicana Universo el año anterior a su aparición en el reality. El 7 de agosto de 2025, Diario Libre informó que terminó como segunda finalista de Miss Universe Latina y regresó a República Dominicana. Sobre esa experiencia, Quelliz dijo: «No gané la corona, pero gané el cariño, el apoyo y el aprecio del público dominicano y de toda la comunidad latina. Ese fue mi verdadero premio».
