June 2025: Adcock criticizes Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter
While discussing albums ahead of his own on Apple Music’s country charts, Adcock said at a concert that Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter was not country music. In a follow-up Instagram video, he framed his objection as a concern about competition for artists who had devoted their careers to the genre, according to The Daily Beast.
This was Adcock criticizing Beyoncé and her album, not a reciprocal feud: the outlet reported that Beyoncé did not respond to his remarks. Her separate statement about criticism she faced when entering country music—“The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me”—predated Adcock’s comments and was not a response to him.
August 2025: Charley Crockett defends Beyoncé
Crockett’s post
On August 19, Crockett posted, “Hey country folks. Beyoncé ain’t the source of your discontent. It was 25 years of bro country.” He also wrote, “I don’t need to put down a Black woman to advance my music.” Chron reported that Crockett did not name Adcock in the post; its timing and subject nevertheless connected it to Adcock’s criticism.

Adcock’s response
Chron reported that Adcock called Crockett “the dipshit of the week” and a “cosplay cowboy,” and shared a video of Crockett busking in a subway car. Crockett later posted, “Black music made me. I will not apologize. Raised by a single mama. I am not ashamed. Many men have tried to destroy me. I will not lose.” Chron reported that the post was subsequently deleted.
The shirt incident
On September 10, Morgan Wallen brought Adcock onstage at a show, where the two flipped off a T-shirt bearing Crockett’s image, according to Chron. The episode belongs to the Crockett dispute; it was not a separate conflict.

July–August 2025: a teenage fan’s complaint draws Adcock into a dispute with Bryan
July 21–22: the fan exchange
After Bryan’s July 2025 MetLife Stadium concert, a 14-year-old posted that he was disappointed after waiting for a photo or hug. Country Central says Bryan replied in a since-deleted post that fans were not entitled to a picture or hello after a two-and-a-half-hour performance. Us Weekly also reports a deleted response, describing it as a TikTok comment. Because accounts differ on the platform, the precise format is not clear from the available reporting.
On July 22, Adcock criticized Bryan, saying he should be able to handle criticism from a 14-year-old and noting that the fan had spent money and was excited to meet him. That defense of the fan turned the online exchange into a personal dispute between the two artists.

Late July and August: the dispute becomes public
Country Central says Bryan later made a since-deleted post telling Adcock “GOMD.” Treat that wording as reported text from a deleted post, not a currently available statement.
On August 20, Adcock appeared on Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now and said Bryan had shown his “true colors.” The Los Angeles Times quoted Adcock saying, “I think Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life and sometimes he can’t help but rip it off and show his true colors,” and adding, “I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.” Those were Adcock’s assessments of Bryan, not independently established facts.

September 13, 2025: confrontation at Born & Raised
Before Adcock’s set at the Born & Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, video showed Bryan and Adcock yelling across a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire. The Los Angeles Times reported that other footage showed Bryan climbing over the fence and security intervening. In the video, Bryan could be heard saying, “Hey, you want to fight like a man?”
Adcock later posted video of the incident and alleged in its caption that Bryan made death threats. That allegation should remain attributed to Adcock; the independently reported footage establishes a tense confrontation and security involvement, not the truth of every claim about what was said or why.

September 14–15: Adcock gives his account; the ending remains unclear
In a video after the incident, Adcock said he avoided fighting so he could perform for festivalgoers. Rolling Stone Australia quoted him: “No artist that cares about their fans is going to fight right before their set, missing going on, and disappointing fans that spent way too much money to be there.” That is Adcock’s explanation of his own conduct.
Rolling Stone Australia reported on September 15 that Bryan’s representative declined its request for comment. The Los Angeles Times said representatives for both artists had not immediately responded to its requests at publication. The reporting available through September 15, 2025, does not confirm a later reconciliation or a definitive end to the Bryan–Adcock dispute.
