Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade were reported to have bought a $2.6 million beach house in November 2024. The property is in Jamesport, on Long Island’s North Fork along Long Island Sound—not in the Hamptons. The reported sale price comes from media coverage, not a deed record verified here.
Where is the house?
The home is reported to be in Jamesport, a North Fork community on Long Island Sound. Although the original headline describes it as a Long Island beach house, calling it a Hamptons property would be inaccurate. Realtor.com’s Nov. 20, 2024 report and The Real Deal’s Nov. 21, 2024 account both identify Jamesport.
What is known about the reported purchase?
The couple were reported to have paid $2.6 million in November 2024. The Real Deal says the New York Post first reported the price. Because the coverage is not a primary deed or public-record verification, the figure should be understood as a reported sale price rather than an independently confirmed transaction amount.
The home is described as approximately 3,500 square feet, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a study/guest room, on about 0.47 acres. Reports also describe a private beach. The 0.47-acre lot figure is reported by Realtor.com; the sources do not establish a separate official measurement.

How the house was designed
The present house was custom-built in 2020. Reports credit its architecture to Eric Liftin of Mesh Architectures and its interiors to Jennifer Bunsa of Bunsa Studio. It is described as a modern, open-plan home with glass walls, high ceilings, an eat-in kitchen and a built-in banquette. The primary suite reportedly includes a balcony, bathroom and office nook.
Outdoor features named in coverage include a screened porch, a waterfront deck and an outdoor shower, along with a hot tub. A basement and generator are also listed, but the reports do not identify the generator or hot tub’s brand or model. Architectural Digest’s 2024 coverage also describes the house and its design.

Who owned the property before the reported sale?
The reported sellers were author Julie Satow and Stuart Elliott. Coverage says they bought a 1940s cottage on the site in 2016 for a reported $600,000, then replaced it with the custom-built house completed in 2020. The transaction was described as off-market: The Real Deal reported that Corcoran’s Sheri Winter Parker had a “whisper listing,” while Realtor.com identified her as the listing broker. The sellers declined to comment, according to the reports.

The reporting establishes a 2024 account of the purchase, the reported price and a range of property details, but it does not establish the exact street address or verify the transaction through a deed or tax record. Nor does a 2024 report confirm who owns the house now. The article’s prior appearances in Domino and Dwell are mentioned in coverage, but those references do not independently verify the reported sale.
