McDonald’s Spain offered a “Friends Box” with a large McMenú in Spain and Andorra from October 8 to November 4, 2024. It has ended.
What was the Friends Box promotion?
McDonald’s Spain announced a Friends-themed meal for the 30th anniversary of the series’ premiere. Its official announcement called it a “Friends Box,” not a Happy Meal, and said it was available at restaurants in Spain and Andorra. The promotion ran from October 8 through November 4, 2024, so it is no longer available as announced. (McDonald’s España announcement, October 10, 2024.)
What came with the meal?
The Friends Box was attached to a large McMenú. McDonald’s named five meal choices: Big Mac, Cuarto de Libra, McRoyal, CBO, or McPollo. The box included one collectible figure from a six-character set—Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Joey—and an exclusive sauce inspired by the show.
What was the catch?
The limitation was both geographic and specific to the format: this was a past promotion in Spain and Andorra, tied to a large McMenú, rather than a U.S. Happy Meal release. The announcement describes that campaign only; it does not establish a release in other countries or a current offer.

Were the Friends merchandise items part of the meal?
No. The announcement separately mentioned a Friends picture frame and exclusive tote bags available to MyMcDonald’s app users. It did not say those items were included with the Friends Box. It also described a one-day Central Perk-themed restaurant installation at C/ de la Montera, 47, on October 10, 2024, from 13:00 to 22:00.
Can you still get the figures?
The McDonald’s announcement confirms the six figures were part of the limited-time promotion, but it does not establish present-day stock or availability from McDonald’s or another retailer. It also does not say whether customers could choose a particular character.
