Some paired nude-coloured caps with white dress shirts, blazers and ties; PerthNow reported that party stores around Perth had sold out of the caps ahead of the event.
How the Pitbull look took over the crowd
PerthNow reported that hundreds of Pitbull fans headed into the CBD on Friday afternoon, with the bald-cap costumes standing out ahead of his set. The report described nude-coloured caps, with some attendees completing the look in a white dress shirt, blazer and tie. Festivalgoers called out “Mr Worldwide!” to people in costume.
Attendee Sarah Nugent told PerthNow, “We danced to him when we were younger. He’s just a vibe.” Tamara Howe-Stewart explained her costume choice: “Believe me, been there, done that,” she said, adding, “We love him as a performer, for his charisma, and for giving back to his community! We’re so excited to see him, and the many other artists tonight!”
The descriptions establish a visible fan tribute at this show, not who started the broader costume trend. The available event reports describe bald-cap lookalikes, including fans wearing sunglasses and marked facial hair, but do not give a verified count beyond PerthNow’s “hundreds.”
