There is no verified, apples-to-apples net-worth ranking for the cast of Friday Night Lights. Celebrity Net Worth estimates Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton at $12 million each and Taylor Kitsch at $10 million, while a 2015 Fame10 list published substantially different figures for several of the same actors. These are third-party estimates, not confirmed financial disclosures, so they should be read as claims from particular publishers—not as a definitive ranking of the cast’s wealth.
What the available net-worth estimates say
The clearest recent comparison in the available sources is limited to three actors with estimates from Celebrity Net Worth. The amounts below are that publisher’s estimates, accessed October 8, 2026; the pages do not provide a transparent calculation method in the reviewed material.

| Actor | Celebrity Net Worth estimate | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| Kyle Chandler | $12 million | Third-party estimate; not a verified disclosure. Celebrity Net Worth, accessed October 8, 2026. |
| Connie Britton | $12 million | Third-party estimate; not a verified disclosure. Celebrity Net Worth, accessed October 8, 2026. |
| Taylor Kitsch | $10 million | Third-party estimate; not a verified disclosure. Celebrity Net Worth, accessed October 8, 2026. |
On this one publisher’s figures, Chandler and Britton are tied, followed by Kitsch. That is only an ordering of three estimates from one source, not a ranking of the entire cast or proof of anyone’s actual assets. Celebrity Net Worth also attributes a $100,000-per-episode salary on Nashville to Britton; that salary claim comes from the same estimate publisher and is not independently verified payroll data.
Why a cast-wide ranking would be misleading
Another entertainment list, Fame10’s 2015 roundup, gives different estimates for some of the same performers. Its figures are older, third-party claims, and Fame10 does not establish a common financial method with Celebrity Net Worth. Combining the two publishers’ numbers into one ordered list would make unlike estimates look directly comparable.

| Actor | Fame10 estimate | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Kyle Chandler | $5 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
| Connie Britton | $8 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
| Taylor Kitsch | $8 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
| Jesse Plemons | $3 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
| Minka Kelly | $3–5 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
| Zach Gilford | $6 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
| Adrianne Palicki | $4 million | Fame10, 2015; entertainment-list estimate, not a primary financial source. |
The differences are substantial: for example, the two publishers’ estimates for Chandler are $5 million and $12 million, respectively, and their estimates for Britton are $8 million and $12 million. The sources do not explain enough about their methods to reconcile those gaps. Nor do the available estimates cover every performer in a consistently defined cast. A full, factual wealth ranking is therefore not supported.
Who counts as the Friday Night Lights cast?
Friday Night Lights is a drama set in fictional Dillon, West Texas. Paramount+ describes a 76-episode series that won four Emmy Awards and identifies Chandler as Coach Eric Taylor and Britton as Tami Taylor. Its listed mainstays also include Aimee Teegarden, Kitsch, Zach Gilford, Minka Kelly, Jesse Plemons, and Michael B. Jordan. The ensemble changed by season: Kelly was a main cast member in seasons 1–3, Plemons in seasons 1–4, and Jordan in seasons 4–5; Kitsch recurred in season 5, while Gilford recurred in seasons 4–5. Paramount+’s series overview makes clear why “the cast” does not refer to one unchanged lineup.
Rank #2
Chandler’s career context is better documented than his finances: the Television Academy records his 2011 Primetime Emmy win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Friday Night Lights. The award recognizes his performance; it does not establish his earnings or net worth. Television Academy’s Kyle Chandler record.

The television drama was inspired by Buzz Bissinger’s nonfiction book, Friday Night Lights: A Town, a Team, and a Dream, which Paramount+ identifies as the bestselling book behind the series. The book and the show are distinct works: one is nonfiction, while the other is a scripted television adaptation. Paramount+’s overview provides the series context.
