Fresh (2022) is a thriller directed by Mimi Cave and written by Lauryn Kahn. It begins with a promising new romance: Noa meets Steve at a grocery store, but a weekend getaway exposes a dangerous secret. The film keeps that secret under wraps in its official synopsis, so this overview does too.
What is Fresh about?
Noa, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, is tired of dating apps when she meets Steve, played by Sebastian Stan, at a grocery store. After their first date, she accepts his invitation to a romantic weekend away. There, she discovers that Steve has been hiding “unusual appetites.” The story shifts from an uneasy dating romance into a thriller about the dangers beneath an apparently charming new relationship.
