French Open 2025 was the first Roland-Garros tournament shown in the United States under Warner Bros. Discovery’s new rights deal. The clearest answer to “what was the new TV channel?” is TNT, with truTV providing whiparound and additional coverage and Max carrying the complete all-court streaming schedule.
The 2025 tournament ran from May 19 qualifying through the men’s final on June 8. Because the event has ended, the schedule below is a retrospective guide to the published U.S. coverage—not a current live schedule.
What was the new French Open channel in the U.S.?
TNT was the main new U.S. television home for Roland-Garros in 2025. Warner Bros. Discovery’s TNT Sports became the exclusive U.S. tournament broadcaster under an agreement with the French Tennis Federation covering ten editions, from 2025 through 2034. The package replaced the more familiar NBC and Tennis Channel arrangement for U.S. viewers.
The U.S. coverage was divided among three principal services:
#1 Best Overall
- Wilson Federer Adult Recreational Tennis Racket - Grip Size 3 - 4 3/8", Red/White/Black
- AirLite Alloy construction creates lightweight frame with power and durability
- Power Strings feature longer mainstrings for greater power
- Stop Shock Pads reduce racket vibrations for improved feel
- Lightweight, midplus head provides greater degree of racket maneuverability with enlarged sweet spot
- TNT: Featured singles matches, major rounds and the finals on traditional television.
- truTV: “The Rally at Roland-Garros,” a whiparound presentation during the early rounds, plus additional court coverage later in the tournament.
- Max: The most complete streaming option, with all-court coverage and replays.
Roland-Garros’s official broadcaster announcement identified TNT Sports as the new exclusive U.S. rights holder. TNT, truTV and Max were the practical viewing destinations for American audiences; Bleacher Report and House of Highlights supplied supplementary digital coverage.

Which service was best for watching Roland-Garros?
Choose TNT for traditional television
TNT was the best fit for viewers who wanted the principal televised matches without selecting among multiple courts. It carried prominent singles coverage through the tournament and showed the major championship-week matches, including the singles finals.
TNT access depended on the viewer’s cable, satellite or live-TV streaming provider. Channel lineups and packages vary by provider and location, so a provider’s current lineup should always be checked rather than assuming that every television package includes TNT.

Choose truTV for a whiparound view
truTV’s “The Rally at Roland-Garros” was intended for viewers who wanted an overview of the day’s action. The presentation could move among courts as matches became interesting, making it useful for following several storylines at once. It was not the same as having every court available in full.
Choose Max for every court and replays
Max was the strongest option for viewers who wanted control over what to watch. Its published schedule included all courts and replays, making it the natural choice for:
Rank #3
- Wilson Tour Slam Adult Recreational Tennis Racket - Grip Size 2 - 4 1/4", Pink/Grey
- Volcanic Frame Technology provides enhanced power and stability
- Power Strings feature longer strings for explosive power
- AirLite Alloy construction creates lightweight frame with power and durability
- Stop Shock Pads reduce racket vibrations for improved feel
- Following a particular player or court;
- Choosing among simultaneous matches;
- Watching matches outside the main TNT presentation;
- Returning to completed matches through replay access.
Max supports computers, mobile devices, smart TVs, game consoles and streaming devices. Its support documentation specifically lists Amazon Fire TV devices and explains how to install the Max app through the Fire TV interface.
If your television did not support Max
A compatible Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max could serve as an optional way to add the Max app to a supported television. It was not required to watch Roland-Garros, and it did not include a Max subscription or provide TNT access. Readers whose televisions already had a Max app had no need to buy a separate device.
Bleacher Report and House of Highlights
Bleacher Report and House of Highlights were additional digital destinations for tournament-related coverage, clips and editorial content. They were supplementary outlets, not replacements for Max’s complete all-court presentation.
Who won the 2025 French Open?
Coco Gauff won the women’s singles title
Coco Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka 6–7(5), 6–2, 6–4 in the women’s final on June 7. It was Gauff’s second Grand Slam title and her first Roland-Garros championship, according to the official tournament result.
Gauff also became the first American woman to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015, according to Roland-Garros’s coverage of the final.
Carlos Alcaraz won a historic men’s final
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jannik Sinner 4–6, 6–7(4), 6–4, 7–6(3), 7–6(10–2) on June 8. The match lasted five hours and 29 minutes, making it the longest men’s singles final in Roland-Garros history, according to the ATP Tour.

The main change was not simply a new channel number. It was a new distribution model. Under the previous U.S. arrangement, NBC and Tennis Channel were the familiar places to look. In 2025, TNT became the principal linear-TV outlet, truTV added a multiplex-style presentation and Max became the comprehensive streaming destination.
That division created a simple decision framework:
- Want the simplest featured-match television experience? Look for TNT.
- Want a guided overview of several courts? Use truTV when its whiparound coverage is scheduled.
- Want to choose any available court? Use Max.
- Want clips and supplementary digital coverage? Check Bleacher Report and House of Highlights.
The rights agreement was announced as covering the 2025–2034 editions. However, future tournament schedules, Max plan names, app branding and provider availability can change. A current-year viewing guide should verify those details before publication.
