What was the wedding like?
It was an intimate gathering shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic. Feimster told People, as quoted by ET, that only a couple of close friends attended and that those present had COVID tests. The ceremony was also livestreamed over Zoom for people who could not be there in person.
The couple’s rescue Pomeranian, Biggie, served as ring bearer.

Why did they choose a small wedding?
Feimster and Smith had originally intended to have a larger celebration, but changed their plans during the pandemic. In a January 4, 2022 interview with The Washington Post, Feimster also said uncertainty about the future of gay rights helped persuade them not to wait. “We shouldn’t wait. We’ve been together six years. Let’s just get married.”
They planned the wedding in about three weeks. Feimster recalled: “So we ended up planning this in, like, three weeks, and it ended up being really perfect.”

What is the latest reported update?
In a profile published June 20, 2025, Fugues reported that Feimster and Smith had filed for divorce the day before the interview. That is a dated report of a filing, not confirmation of any later change in their status.
