If XSplit Broadcaster keeps disconnecting from YouTube on JioFiber, first confirm that XSplit is actually broadcasting, then compare its configured bitrate with XSplit’s bandwidth test. Next, isolate Wi-Fi, household traffic and PC load one at a time. The available support guidance does not establish a JioFiber-specific incompatibility or identify JioFiber as the cause; the connection, XSplit output and YouTube stream-health evidence are needed to diagnose an individual outage.
1. Confirm XSplit has started the YouTube broadcast
- In XSplit Broadcaster, open Broadcast, select the configured YouTube output and start the broadcast.
- Check XSplit’s red status bar. XSplit says this indicates that it is broadcasting live.
- If this channel has never enabled live streaming, XSplit’s guide says first-time enablement requires a 24-hour wait. Allow that period before treating a failure to start as a JioFiber disconnection.
A stream that never starts is different from one that starts and then drops. Note which symptom you see, along with the time, before changing settings.
2. Compare XSplit’s bandwidth test with the output bitrate
- In XSplit, open the selected YouTube output’s gear or properties.
- Run Test Bandwidth.
- Compare the result with the video bitrate configured for that output. XSplit recommends setting the bitrate to the average data rate calculated by its test.
- If you adjust the bitrate, change only that setting and observe whether the stream remains connected.
Bitrate uses upload capacity. The appropriate value depends on the stream’s resolution, frame rate and available, stable upload speed, so there is no single safe bitrate to prescribe without those details and a measurement. A headline speed-test result alone does not establish that the connection can sustain the configured stream.
XSplit lists 500 kbps minimum upload speed for live streaming at its lowest settings on its 2025 system-requirements page. This is a baseline minimum, not a recommended YouTube bitrate or evidence that a particular resolution and frame rate will work.

3. Test whether Wi-Fi is involved
- In the MyJio app, go to Home > JioCare > Run Diagnostics.
- Follow the prompts and note any findings about network health, router status, Wi-Fi strength or device connectivity. Jio says diagnostics may identify weak Wi-Fi, loose cables, speed drops, configuration errors or device overload.
- If the streaming PC uses Wi-Fi, try a wired Ethernet connection and compare the result under otherwise similar conditions.
An Ethernet trial helps isolate wireless coverage or interference; it does not rule out an ISP, routing or YouTube ingest fault. If you need to try a cable, a Cat 6 Ethernet cable is one option, but wiring the PC is a diagnostic test, not a guaranteed fix. Jio names its Jio Extender for wider or stronger coverage in larger homes with coverage problems; that is relevant only if diagnostics point to Wi-Fi coverage, not as a general remedy for stream disconnects.
4. Check shared internet use and PC or encoder load
Reduce competing network traffic
Other devices using the connection, insufficient upload speed and unexpected ISP issues can contribute to streaming problems. For a controlled comparison, test when fewer devices are using the network, then compare with the usual household load. Avoid changing several network conditions at once.

Distinguish stream drops from preview slowdowns
If the outgoing stream or recording is dropping frames, reduce other processes and check CPU or GPU pressure; XSplit also recommends adjusting processing or encoding. A dip in the stage-preview FPS alone does not necessarily mean the outgoing stream is affected. Record whether the stream itself drops frames or disconnects, rather than relying only on the preview.
5. Compare YouTube output servers only after collecting a baseline
XSplit’s YouTube output properties include an option to use a backup server if there are issues with the default server. First record the behavior with the default server; then, if needed, change only the server option and compare. Treat this as a controlled test, not a confirmed cure for a home-network problem.

6. Keep a useful incident record
If disconnections continue, collect the details below before escalating. They can help distinguish a wireless, capacity, device, output or platform issue, but none alone proves the cause.
- The exact times the stream disconnected or recovered.
- Whether the PC was connected by Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- The XSplit output configuration and Test Bandwidth result.
- Any messages shown in YouTube’s stream-health information.
- The findings from MyJio diagnostics.
- Whether other household devices were using the connection, and whether XSplit’s stream or recording showed dropped frames.
- Whether changing from the default YouTube server to the available backup option changed the result.
Jio’s support route for checking a JioFiber broadband connection is MyJio diagnostics. The available general support guidance does not provide a cause-specific JioFiber fix for XSplit disconnections. If the evidence points to a line or router issue, contact Jio with the diagnostic findings; if it points to XSplit output or encoding, include the configuration and timestamps when seeking XSplit support.
