Five actors from the 1991 film The Addams Family reunited at L.A. Comic Con in Los Angeles on October 4–6, 2024—33 years after the film’s release. The event brought together Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci, Carel Struycken and Jimmy Workman; it was a convention appearance, not an announcement of a new film.
Who reunited from the 1991 film?
L.A. Comic Con announced an Addams Family reunion featuring five actors from the movie. Their characters made up much of the film’s central household:
- Anjelica Huston as Morticia Addams
- Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester
- Christina Ricci as Wednesday Addams
- Carel Struycken as Lurch
- Jimmy Workman as Pugsley Addams
The convention organizer’s announcement named the attendees, while ABC News’ coverage identified their roles. L.A. Comic Con’s announcement and ABC News’ reunion coverage provide the event and cast details.
When and where did the reunion happen?
The reunion took place at L.A. Comic Con in Los Angeles during the convention’s October 4–6, 2024 run. The Los Angeles Convention Center’s event listing dates the convention and includes The Addams Family among its reunions.
#1 Best Overall
- Characters from The Addams Family take turns completing tasks in order to get to The Swamp. Choose Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, Wednesday, Grannie Frump, Lurch, or Uncle Fester.
- The Game Board depicts the floor plan of the Addams mansion, complete with trapdoors and a dungeon inside, and, of course, a cemetery outside.
- Generations of Fun! For 2 to 7 players, ages 13 and up.
- Laugh out loud at Charles Addams' cartoons, reproduced on the character challenge cards.
- Replay it again and again: choose from 3 levels of play: Frightful, Dreadful, or Grotesque!
The “33 years” in the headline is the span from the movie’s 1991 release to the 2024 convention appearance. It describes that past event, not an upcoming reunion or a current project.
What the reunion meant—and what it did not announce
For fans, the gathering offered a chance to see performers associated with the film together again and revisit a familiar screen family. It was a nostalgic convention event, not evidence of a sequel, reboot, or new production. The event announcements establish the appearance; they do not establish a current reunion, ticket offer, or streaming availability.

- The UNO game players love features graphics inspired by characters from the series Wednesday
- Game play matches the classic card game where players match colors and numbers to get rid of all their cards
- The special "Wild Black is My Happy Color" Rule makes a player draw a card and lose their turn, unless they can play a black Wild Card
- Special graphic symbols added to each card help identify the color(s) on that card, allowing players with any form of color blindness to play
- When down to one card, don't forget to snarl, "UNO"
Raul Julia, who played Gomez Addams, and Judith Malina, who played Grandmama, were not among the five attendees. ABC News notes that both had died, so they could not attend. The five actors at the convention should not be mistaken for every member of the original cast.
