The evidence is strongest for Broad: the Premier League describes him as a long-time season-ticket holder and quotes him on what the club means to him. The other four are identified as supporters by Nottingham Forest News, whose reported details offer context but not the same kind of direct confirmation.
Five famous faces associated with Nottingham Forest
This is a selection, not a ranking or a claim that these are the club’s definitive five most famous supporters. Nottingham Forest News published a list on 30 December 2024 whose headline says seven and whose introduction says ten, while its body profiles seven people. The five below are selected from those profiles, with Broad also covered independently by the Premier League.
Stuart Broad, cricketer
Broad has the clearest documented connection in the sources here. A Premier League feature dated 16 March 2026 describes the Nottingham-born former Nottinghamshire player as a long-time Forest season-ticket holder and says he regularly comments on the club. Broad put the wait to see Forest back in the top flight in personal terms: “It took me 23 years as a supporter to see Forest play in the Premier League, but it brings me so much joy.” The Premier League feature provides both an attributed statement and a reported season-ticket connection.
Leigh Wood, boxer
Nottingham Forest News profiles Wood as a Forest supporter and identifies him as a professional boxer born in Gedling, Nottinghamshire. His local roots help explain the connection, but they are not proof of fandom on their own. The article also mentions a prospective fight at the City Ground; a venue connection likewise should not be treated as independent evidence of support.

Joe Dempsie, actor

Lee Westwood, golfer

Carl Froch, boxer
Nottingham Forest News identifies Froch as a four-time world super-middleweight champion and reports that he presented Forest’s European Cup-winning players with their National Football Museum Hall of Fame inductions. The appearance links him publicly with the club, while the supporter label remains the article’s reporting rather than a first-person statement gathered here.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How strong is the evidence?
The sources do not establish every supporter’s connection in the same way. Broad stands apart because the Premier League feature combines a reported long-term season ticket with his own attributable words. For Wood, Dempsie, Westwood and Froch, the support claims and related examples come from Nottingham Forest News, a club-focused publisher; the material here does not provide comparable first-person statements or independent primary-source confirmation for them.

- Whether a sports enthusiast or movie buff or music lover our authenticated memorabilia collection offers a unique opportunity to own pieces with genuine signatures to add quality and significance to your collection
That distinction matters: a Nottinghamshire birthplace, a club shirt, attendance at a match or a ceremony at the City Ground can provide context, but none should be inflated into a stronger claim than the reporting supports.
