Sazerac announced the product on June 4, 2024, with a limited launch planned for June 7 at $24.99; those were launch terms, not confirmed current price or availability.
What is the Fireball Fire Iron?
At first glance, the Fire Iron resembles a five iron. Its defining feature is five compartments attached along the shaft, each sized for a 50 ml Fireball shooter. Sazerac’s announcement also describes a Fireball dragon on the club face and a red shaft and grip.
The design makes it a novelty for a golf bag or a gift for a Fireball fan. It is not a substitute for a playable iron: Sazerac expressly said the product was not designed to be played.
When did it go on sale, and what did it cost?
Sazerac announced that sales would begin Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. Eastern through FireballWhisky.com. The announced price was $24.99, and the company said supplies would be limited. Golf Digest also reported the date and price and noted that the item was not intended to replace a golfer’s actual clubs.

What Fireball said about the idea
Danny Suich, Fireball’s global brand director, described the concept in Sazerac’s June 4, 2024 announcement: “Golf is a game about shots – taking them, making them and everything in between. So, as the world’s #1 shot brand we thought we were in a unique position to caddie the game forward and towards a bit more unexpected fun on the course.” The “world’s #1 shot brand” phrase is the spokesperson’s claim in the company announcement, not an independently verified statistic.
