That did not, by itself, rule out future appearances.
Which Fire Country actors were leaving before Season 4?
The two actors reported to be leaving Fire Country as series regulars were Billy Burke, who plays Vince Leone, and Stephanie Arcila, who plays Gabriela Perez. TV Insider reported the changes ahead of Season 4, with the reporting distinguishing departure from the regular cast from the possibility of a character appearing again.

| Actor | Character | What was reported |
|---|---|---|
| Billy Burke | Vince Leone | Reported to be leaving series-regular status ahead of Season 4. The cited reporting does not establish that he could never appear again. |
| Stephanie Arcila | Gabriela Perez | Reported to be leaving series-regular status ahead of Season 4. Showrunner Tia Napolitano indicated Gabriela’s story was not necessarily over. |
TV Insider’s report said co-creator and showrunner Tia Napolitano confirmed Arcila’s departure to Deadline; TVLine also covered the actors’ change in status.
Was Stephanie Arcila’s Fire Country story over?
Not necessarily. The reporting described Arcila as leaving the regular cast, while Napolitano’s comments left room for Gabriela’s story to continue. Those are separate points: a series-regular departure changes an actor’s ongoing status, but does not automatically establish a character’s final appearance or rule out a guest return.

Was Billy Burke leaving because of Vince’s Season 3 cliffhanger?
The Season 3 finale left Vince, Sharon, and Walter trapped in a burning care facility. That plot cliffhanger is not, on its own, evidence about Burke’s contract or future appearances; the cast change was reported separately. Napolitano offered broader creative context in a remark TV Insider attributed to her: “Season 3 [is] leaning into the authenticity of the real-life heroes that our characters are playing, people die, they leave.” The statement speaks to the show’s approach to its characters, not a confirmed individual reason for each actor’s departure.
When did Season 4 premiere?
Fire Country Season 4 premiered on October 17, 2025, with the episode “Goodbye for Now,” according to CBS’s Season 4 episode listing. The cast-exit news is therefore a pre-Season 4 announcement, not a current preview of an upcoming season.
