Why is Three Rock under pressure?
The preview places the threat amid fallout from inmate Rudy’s escape and a violent incident involving a county sheriff and a lieutenant. The investigation reveals that the lieutenant was crooked and had killed the sheriff. Rudy had not committed murder, but the incident fuels local concern about the camp, whose future was already being questioned.

Protesters arrive outside a newly erected fence as Luke helps Chief Eve present Three Rock positively to a news crew. The conflict is not simply about Luke’s messaging: public anger outside the gate threatens a program that has become central to the series. Trucco says the events affect the rest of the season and calls Three Rock “the beating heart of the show.” He also says the possibility of closure is upsetting and could put the broader system at risk.
