A related ScreenRant report, reproduced in IMDb search results, said Alabi would return to wrap up Dani’s story: ScreenRant’s report as reproduced by IMDb. That detail describes the reported plan at the time; it does not, by itself, establish what ultimately appeared on screen.
Was Juliana Aidén Martinez replacing Dani as Scola’s partner?
Not on the evidence in the available reports. They said Juliana Aidén Martinez had joined the Season 8 main cast in a role that had not been disclosed. The suggestion that Martinez might become Scola’s new partner was an inference from the casting change, not a confirmed description of her character or a stated reason for Dani’s reported exit.

What does “ahead of Season 8” mean?
The headline refers to coverage published in July 2025, before Season 8. Because that is earlier reporting, it should not be read as saying the departure is still upcoming. The available reports do not establish Dani’s current on-screen status, and they do not provide an official CBS statement confirming the casting details. The careful distinction is that Alabi’s exit and return to conclude Dani’s story were reported plans, while the proposed partner replacement remained speculative.
