When did Fate/strange Fake come out?
The TV series began broadcasting on January 3, 2026, according to the official Japanese announcement. The premiere date has passed; this is a release date, not an upcoming broadcast.
What is Fate/strange Fake about?
The anime follows a new Holy Grail War unfolding in the United States, with Masters and Servants drawn into the conflict. The story centers on Snowfield, where the war takes an unusual form. The official English introduction presents it as a Holy Grail War raging in the United States.
Fate/strange Fake is based on Ryohgo Narita’s story, published by Dengeki Bunko since 2015. A-1 Pictures credits the source to Narita and TYPE-MOON’s Fate/Strange Fake. Readers looking for the story in print should note that the official information cited here confirms the source novels, but does not establish a particular English edition or current retailer listing.

Where can you watch Fate/strange Fake?
Viewing information depends on territory. ABEMA announced in December 2025 that the special Whispers of Dawn and the TV series’ first episode would stream in Japan on January 3, 2026, from 11:30 p.m. JST. The announcement said later episodes would be available weekly and free for one week after broadcast. That was a Japan-specific plan announced before the premiere; it does not establish present-day availability or international streaming rights. See the ABEMA announcement for its original details.
The official English homepage also announced weekly streaming in January 2026, but does not identify a current service or territory on the cited page. Check the official series site and services available in your country for current listings, including whether a listing includes Whispers of Dawn as well as the TV episodes.

Is it from the Solo Leveling studio?
A-1 Pictures is the confirmed studio behind Fate/strange Fake. The official series introduction also notes that A-1 Pictures animated Fate/Apocrypha in 2017. The official credits cited here do not establish a connection to Solo Leveling, so the series is best identified by its verified A-1 Pictures production credit rather than that comparison.
