Joseph Kosinski directed and produced the film. Its cast also includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Apple named Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment, and Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films among the production banners; Hamilton is a seven-time Formula 1 world champion, according to Apple’s announcement.
Apple described the production this way: “The feature has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport.” Apple Original Films’ announcement identifies APXGP as a fictional team.

Where can you watch Brad Pitt’s F1 movie?
Apple announced a global streaming debut on Apple TV for December 12, 2025, and its film page currently lists the title as streaming. Check Apple TV in your territory for present availability and subscription terms; the streaming announcement does not establish that access is identical in every country. The official film page is the best place to check current Apple availability.

Apple reported more than $629 million in global box office in its October 13, 2025 streaming announcement. That is a publisher-reported figure, and the cited announcement does not provide its measurement methodology. Apple’s October 2025 announcement includes the figure and streaming date.

Is there a 4K, Blu-ray, or DVD edition?
Yes. The official film site lists 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD, and Apple says Warner Bros. Home Entertainment handled physical Blu-ray Disc and DVD retail distribution. Choose based on your display and player: 4K UHD is the format to consider for a compatible 4K setup; standard Blu-ray and DVD suit their corresponding players and displays. What about the soundtrack and APXGP merchandise?
The soundtrack album and film merchandise are separate from watching the movie. Apple reported in its August 22, 2025 announcement that F1 The Album had sold more than 650,000 albums worldwide and exceeded one billion global streams. Those are Apple’s dated figures; its release does not state the underlying measurement methodology.
Formula 1 announced APXGP-branded hoodies, T-shirts, and hats through the official F1 Store. The announcement establishes the merchandise line, not current inventory or availability, so check the store directly before making plans to buy.
