That is a historical promotion, not confirmation of a current giveaway: the offer’s availability in October 2026 has not been established. Check official Prime Gaming, Xbox, or Bethesda pages for current terms before trying to claim a code.
What the Fallout 76 free offer covered
Gizmochina reported on April 19, 2024, that Amazon Prime subscribers could obtain Fallout 76 for Xbox through Prime Gaming. The offer was described as a game code, rather than a direct entitlement added to a player’s account. The report does not establish the promotion’s geographic coverage, claim deadline, redemption requirements, or whether it is still active.
Fallout 76 is an action role-playing game released in 2018. Its setting follows Vault 76 residents as they emerge into West Virginia after a nuclear disaster and begin rebuilding. That premise places the game within the Fallout series’ post-apocalyptic world, but the reported giveaway itself was specifically for an Xbox code.
How the reported 2024 claim process worked
Gizmochina’s account of the promotion described these steps. They explain the historical process only; they should not be taken as current redemption instructions.

What is known about the game’s audience
Bethesda’s official Fallout 76 announcement feed, hosted via Steam, reported a milestone of 20 million total players on May 30, 2024. That is a dated cumulative milestone, not a current player count or a measure of how many people are playing now.
