Bay previously denied directing the movie discussed online, and no cast, distributor, final format, or release date is verified.
The public record runs from a July 2024 discussion of possible film and television plans to a June 2026 financing announcement tied to Invisible Narratives’ majority acquisition of the property. The record confirms substantial franchise activity, but it does not confirm a finished feature, official trailer, theatrical schedule, streaming home, or cast.
Key takeaways
- The Michael Bay-associated Skibidi Toilet project has no verified release date, distributor, cast, final format, or completed feature-film status as of August 13, 2026.
- Invisible Narratives identified Michael Bay as a creative advisor in its June 17, 2026 announcement, while Bay denied directing the movie discussed online in May 2025.
- Invisible Narratives disclosed an initial $25 million investment tied to its majority acquisition of Skibidi Toilet in June 2026; the $25 million figure is not a confirmed movie-production budget.
- The project began publicly as a potential film-and-television expansion and is now described as part of a larger franchise spanning gaming, consumer products, licensing, film, and television.
- Scholastic announced a Skibidi Toilet book line in March 2025, giving fans a more concrete official product path while the screen adaptation remains undefined.
Is Michael Bay’s Skibidi Toilet movie really happening?
Yes—but the confirmed reality is an active, commercially backed Skibidi Toilet franchise-development effort, not a finished or release-dated Michael Bay feature film. Invisible Narratives has publicly associated the property with film and television plans, and its latest financing announcement calls Bay a creative advisor. Bay’s own May 2025 statement rejected reports that he was directing the movie being discussed.
The distinction matters because “Michael Bay’s Skibidi Toilet movie” has become a convenient shorthand for several different things: the original YouTube property, a possible screen adaptation, reported production personnel, Invisible Narratives’ broader franchise strategy, and internet speculation about Bay’s role. The verified record supports the first four only with careful qualifications; it does not support a confirmed theatrical release or a settled directing credit.

What is confirmed about the project?
The strongest current description is a Skibidi Toilet adaptation and franchise-expansion effort associated with Invisible Narratives. The public record does not establish whether the eventual screen project will be a theatrical feature, a streaming film, a television series, or more than one format.

How did the Skibidi Toilet movie project develop?
- July 24, 2024 — Hollywood plans were discussed publicly. In Variety’s Strictly Business discussion, Invisible Narratives founder Adam Goodman described work with Michael Bay and creator Alexey Gerasimov on the property’s future and a potential move into film and television. The discussion established ambitions, not a release date or locked production package.
- March 13, 2025 — Scholastic announced books. Scholastic said it would publish various Skibidi Toilet books in partnership with Invisible Narratives. The publishing announcement showed that the franchise expansion was moving beyond YouTube, even though it did not confirm details of a movie.
- May 2025 — Production personnel were reported. Cartoon Brew reported that Jeffrey Beecroft was attached as production designer and Rob Legato as VFX supervisor. The same period produced descriptions of the project as entering production, but those reports do not establish that a finished feature film exists.
- May 24, 2025 — Bay disputed the directing reports. Bay posted a video responding directly to online claims that he was directing the Skibidi Toilet movie. His statement is the clearest primary-source evidence against treating him as the confirmed director.
- June 17, 2026 — Invisible Narratives announced major financing. BC Partners’ announcement said Invisible Narratives secured long-term capital partnerships with Verance Capital and BC Partners Credit, including an initial $25 million investment tied to the company’s majority acquisition of Skibidi Toilet. The announcement described Bay as creative advisor and framed the property as part of a wider film, television, gaming, and consumer-products strategy.
Is Michael Bay directing the Skibidi Toilet movie?
No verified evidence shows Michael Bay directing the Skibidi Toilet movie. The latest company announcement identifies Bay as a creative advisor, while Bay’s own May 24, 2025 clarification rejected the claim that he was directing the movie then being discussed.
“You know how mom and dad have always told you, ‘Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.’”

Bay concluded that his current directing projects did not include one labeled “Skibidi,” saying, “But there’s not one in that little pile that says ‘Skibidi.’ So let’s just stop the lore right now. OK. You heard it from me.” Bay’s remarks specifically addressed directing. They did not prove that he had no connection to the property, which is consistent with the later company description of him as a creative advisor.
Who is involved in the Skibidi Toilet project?
The project has a recognizable group of associated creators and executives, but association with the development effort is not the same as a confirmed cast or final crew list.
| Person or company | Known connection | How firmly it is confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Michael Bay | Creative advisor in Invisible Narratives’ June 2026 financing announcement; he denied directing the movie discussed online in May 2025. | Creative-advisor association confirmed by the company; directing not confirmed. |
| Adam Goodman | Founder of Invisible Narratives and the executive who publicly discussed developing Skibidi Toilet for film and television with Bay and Alexey Gerasimov. | Publicly documented executive and development role. |
| Invisible Narratives | Company developing and commercializing creator-led intellectual property across screen entertainment, gaming, consumer products, and licensing. | Company role confirmed; final movie package unannounced. |
| Alexey Gerasimov, also known as DaFuq!?Boom! | Creator of the original Skibidi Toilet web series. | Creator credit confirmed by the official channel and public franchise record. |
| Jeffrey Beecroft | Reported production designer on the project. | Trade-reported attachment, not a complete official crew announcement. |
| Rob Legato | Reported VFX supervisor on the project. | Trade-reported attachment, not evidence of a completed feature. |
The absence of a cast announcement is significant. Rumored celebrity names, social-media posts, fan discussions, and unofficial videos should not be presented as casting news unless Invisible Narratives, Bay, Gerasimov, a distributor, or another authoritative primary source confirms the names.
When does Michael Bay’s Skibidi Toilet movie come out?
Michael Bay’s Skibidi Toilet movie has no verified release date as of August 13, 2026. No researched primary announcement gives a theatrical date, streaming window, television premiere, or 2026 release commitment.
Reports that the movie is scheduled for 2026 should therefore be treated as unverified. A financing announcement, a reported crew attachment, or the phrase “in production” does not by itself establish a release schedule. The project may eventually become a film, a series, or a multi-format release, but the final distribution plan remains undisclosed.

Who is in the Skibidi Toilet movie?
No official cast list has been verified for the Skibidi Toilet movie. Jeffrey Beecroft and Rob Legato were reported as production personnel, but neither person is a cast member, and their reported involvement does not confirm which performers—or even which final screen format—will be used.
Readers should distinguish three different categories: the creator and executives associated with the franchise, reported behind-the-scenes personnel, and actors officially announced for a finished screen production. Only the first two categories have names in the researched public record.
What will the Skibidi Toilet movie be about?
No official feature-film synopsis has been released. The original web series supplies recognizable source material, but source-series lore should not be described as the confirmed plot of a future movie.
Skibidi Toilet is a machinima-style animated web franchise created by Alexey Gerasimov, known online as DaFuq!?Boom!. The official DaFuq!?Boom! YouTube channel identifies itself as the home of “skibidi toilet” and places the property in gaming, science-fiction animation, Unreal Engine production, and Titan-character merchandise.
A 2025 United States Patent and Trademark Office TTAB filing describes the underlying conflict as a post-apocalyptic world invaded by Skibidi Toilets, opposed by the Alliance: humanoid robots with cameras, speakers, and television screens for heads. That filing is useful for explaining the established premise, but it is not a movie announcement or an official screenplay synopsis.

|---|---|---|
| Who are the opponents? | Skibidi Toilets fight the Alliance in the established online lore. | No official movie or television version of the conflict has been announced. |
| What is the setting? | The TTAB filing describes a post-apocalyptic world. | No official adaptation setting or treatment has been released. |
| What is the visual format? | Short-form, YouTube-native machinima-style animation associated with Unreal Engine production. | No final feature, series, animation, or hybrid format has been confirmed. |
| What is the story length? | The web franchise unfolds through online episodes and related content. | No runtime, episode count, or feature-film length has been announced. |
How large is the Skibidi Toilet franchise?
Skibidi Toilet’s scale helps explain why companies are discussing a multi-format expansion, but audience figures from different publishers and dates should not be combined as though they were one measurement.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsAccording to Google’s New Generation report (2025), the @DaFuqBoom channel had 46.3 million subscribers, and Google reported more than 4 million uploads of videos related to “Skibidi Toilet.” Google said the global YouTube figures covered data from 2023 through 2025.
According to the Invisible Narratives and BC Partners announcement (2026), the franchise had more than 47 million subscribers, over 20 billion views, more than $150 million in consumer spending, and 8.7 billion visits across licensed Roblox experiences. Those figures come from the later company announcement and may use different definitions, dates, or measurement methods from Google’s report.
| Reported measure | Owner and date | Reported figure | What readers should understand |
|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube subscribers | Google, 2025 | 46.3 million for @DaFuqBoom | Google report figure using its stated global YouTube data. |
| Related YouTube uploads | Google, 2025 | More than 4 million | Videos related to “Skibidi Toilet,” not necessarily uploads by the official creator. |
| Subscribers | Invisible Narratives/BC Partners, 2026 | More than 47 million | Later company-announcement figure; not a like-for-like replacement for Google’s measurement. |
| Total views | Invisible Narratives/BC Partners, 2026 | Over 20 billion | Company-reported franchise scale. |
| Consumer spending | Invisible Narratives/BC Partners, 2026 | More than $150 million | Company-reported spending associated with the franchise; not movie revenue. |
| Licensed Roblox experience visits | Invisible Narratives/BC Partners, 2026 | 8.7 billion | Visits to licensed Roblox experiences; not theatrical admissions or video views. |
| Initial investment | BC Partners, 2026 | $25 million | Capital tied to Invisible Narratives’ majority acquisition of Skibidi Toilet, not a confirmed production budget. |
What is actually available while the movie is in development?
The most concrete official screen-adjacent option is the original web franchise, while the most defensible physical-product path is the announced book line. Scholastic’s March 13, 2025 announcement said Scholastic would publish various official Skibidi Toilet books in partnership with Invisible Narratives. Readers should verify the exact edition, publication status, seller, stock, and licensing details before buying because the announcement alone does not establish current retailer availability.
The franchise’s commercial strategy is broader than a movie. Invisible Narratives describes Skibidi Toilet as spanning consumer products, gaming, film, television, and licensing, while the official creator channel references licensed products and a Hunter Astro plush. This research pass did not verify a specific retailer listing, so generic toilet toys, fan-made products, and unverified movie collectibles should not be treated as official merchandise.
Where can you watch the Michael Bay Skibidi Toilet movie?
You cannot currently watch an officially released Michael Bay Skibidi Toilet movie because no verified release date, distributor, streaming platform, or legal movie watch page has been announced. The original Skibidi Toilet web material is separate from the proposed screen adaptation and should not be used as evidence that the movie has premiered.

When a legitimate screen release is confirmed, a reliable “where to watch” answer should name the distributor or platform and include the release territory and date. Until then, fan-uploaded teasers, concept trailers, AI-generated clips, and videos using movie-style titles are not proof of an official trailer or release.
How does the original web series differ from the proposed screen adaptation?
The original web series has an established creator, format, and online audience; the proposed screen adaptation has development ambitions but no confirmed production specifications.
| Decision point | Original Skibidi Toilet web series | Proposed screen adaptation |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Short-form machinima-style animated videos built for YouTube-native viewing. | Possible feature-film and/or television format; final format unannounced. |
| Creative control | Original work created by Alexey Gerasimov, also known as DaFuq!?Boom!. | Franchise development associated with Invisible Narratives and its partners. |
| Bay’s role | No Michael Bay directing credit is needed to establish the original series. | Bay is identified as creative advisor; his directing of the discussed movie is unverified and disputed by Bay. |
| Story scope | Established online conflict between Skibidi Toilets and the Alliance. | No official adaptation plot, runtime, or episode structure. |
| Commercial ecosystem | YouTube audience, Roblox experiences, merchandise, and licensing. | Potential expansion into film and television alongside gaming, products, publishing, and licensing. |
| Evidence level | Official creator channel and documented source-series lore. | Official company announcements, a primary Bay clarification, and trade reporting with unresolved details. |
Which Skibidi Toilet claims should you not trust yet?
Claims about a 2026 release, celebrity casting, a confirmed Michael Bay directing credit, or an official trailer should be excluded unless a new primary source verifies them. The following distinctions prevent the most common errors:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- “Michael Bay’s movie” is not a settled directing credit. The latest official company wording is “creative advisor,” and Bay denied directing the movie discussed online.
- “Production has begun” is not the same as “a finished feature exists.” Trade reporting in 2025 referred to production activity, but the wider public record supports development or franchise production activity rather than a release-ready film.
- A crew attachment is not a cast announcement. Jeffrey Beecroft and Rob Legato were reported as production designer and VFX supervisor, respectively; no verified actors were announced.
- The $25 million investment is not the movie budget. BC Partners tied the initial investment to Invisible Narratives’ majority acquisition of Skibidi Toilet and broader creator-led intellectual-property expansion.
- A fan-made teaser is not an official trailer. Without a named studio, distributor, creator, or official company source, a teaser cannot establish the film’s existence, format, cast, or release date.
What announcement would confirm the movie’s next stage?
The next reliable update should identify at least one concrete production commitment: a director or clarified creative role, a final format, a distributor or streaming platform, a cast list, an official synopsis, a production start backed by authoritative documentation, or a release date. A new company financing statement alone can demonstrate business activity without answering those movie-specific questions.
Until such an announcement appears, the accurate description remains: Michael Bay is associated with a real Skibidi Toilet franchise-development effort as a creative advisor, but no verified evidence shows that he is directing a completed movie or that audiences can watch one.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Michael Bay-associated Skibidi Toilet project is real and commercially backed, but as of August 13, 2026 it has no verified release date, distributor, cast, final format, or completed feature-film status. Michael Bay is identified as creative advisor, not confirmed director.
