Since news broke in 2023 that her longtime partner, Tom Sandoval, had an affair with a fellow Vanderpump Rules cast member, Ariana Madix has taken on work across competition television, acting, publishing, Broadway, advertising and hosting. The clearest way to trace that expansion is by its dated public milestones—not by guessing at her earnings or attributing every booking to the scandal.
2023: Competition television, acting and publishing
Dancing with the Stars
Madix competed on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars in 2023 and finished in third place, according to Broadway.com. The available account confirms the result but does not establish the date it was announced.
Acting, advertising and a cocktail book
A March 2024 Bravo retrospective describes a burst of work after the breakup: commercials, a television movie, a cocktail book and a tour. It does not provide a complete dated list of the campaigns or screen appearances, so those broad categories are more firmly established than a detailed booking-by-booking chronology.
The same retrospective recounts Madix’s comments about her finances while filming, including her recollection that she had been “on her last $2,000” in March 2023. That is her reported recollection, not an audited financial figure or evidence of her current wealth.

2024: Madix’s Broadway debut and return
Chicago as Roxie Hart
Madix made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago. The Internet Broadway Database records her first engagement from January 29 through April 7, 2024, and a return engagement from August 1 through September 1, 2024. These were limited runs, not an indication that she remained in the production between engagements. The dates are listed by the Internet Broadway Database.
Her stated wish to be known for her work
At a January 2024 press event for Chicago, Madix told the Associated Press: “If I am in the papers, it’ll be for things that are positive. It’ll be for the work that I’m doing. It will be for more things like this and hopefully less things that are not fun.” The statement captures her publicly expressed hope for attention to shift toward her work; it does not mean she left reality television behind. 2024–2026: Hosting Love Island USA
Peacock announced Madix as the new host of Love Island USA Season 6, which premiered June 11, 2024. That marked a move from competing on reality television to hosting it. Peacock later reported that she had wrapped hosting Season 8 in 2026. These are specific season engagements, not evidence that she hosted every season in between. 2026: A Sonic advertising campaign
Madix and Ciara Miller appeared in a Sonic Frozen Refreshers campaign, reported by Marie Claire. This confirms a named advertising campaign; it does not establish a current offer, the terms of any deal, or what Madix was paid.
2026: Back on Broadway in Just in Time
After hosting Love Island USA Season 8, Madix began a scheduled Broadway engagement as Connie Francis in Just in Time. Peacock lists the run from September 12 through November 22, 2026. Madix told Jimmy Fallon she was thrilled by the role and had listened to Francis’s music since childhood, recalling that her father played the songs on the piano. The dates and her comment are reported by Peacock; the booking is a scheduled engagement, not a claim that the production will continue beyond the listed dates.
