What order should I watch the X-Men animated series in?
Follow this release sequence if you want to see how X-Men animation has been adapted over time. The dates below are years, not a fully verified day-by-day premiere chronology. Pryde of the X-Men is included because it is an important early animated X-Men production, but it was a one-off pilot rather than a commissioned ongoing series.

Which shows are connected?
Release order does not mean every entry shares one story universe. X-Men: Evolution and Marvel Anime: X-Men are distinct interpretations, as are the other adaptations outside the direct 1990s-to-2024 link.
Watch the 1990s series before X-Men ’97
Marvel and Disney present X-Men ’97 as a return to and continuation of the 1990s animated series. Watching X-Men: The Animated Series first gives the clearest context for that follow-up. Marvel on X-Men ’97
